Thanks so much for the comments!!  It makes me feel less stressed out about visiting my hubby.  When we were just dating I never thought one second about coming into the UK but as soon as we married it made me worry.  LOL!   I'm going over in June and I can bearly wait to see him again!

This entire forum has been extremely helpful and I think I know what to expect now through the immigration process..... Cheesy  A whole lot of patience will be required and the tools to relieve stress be readily available.....Must remember to buy many bottles of wine.....

I will keep posting with our progress.  Take care!!

The movement of this forum is decreasing day after day. Is it like we no longer don't care about relating our stories on the forum?

yeah ,, Ive also noticed that people do not share too much here. I read this forum everyday.
my story is .. my wife got pregnant and I cant wait to see her. and CIC is dead slow. checking status regularly, but still comes like "application received" and when I click it, only update I find is Medical Recieved .. thats it really.. honestly its too much wait and looks like someone is testing your patience.

thanks

Just popping in to say hi and wish all the guys still waiting some good luck.
As you can all see from my time line our process was quick and im very thankful for that but it feels like such a long time ago.
Finally after waiting 5 months i can start the count down to landing. In 4 weeks we will be on out way to the airport.
Just getting our last bits tide up and I can land.
Working on a job at the minute and once i've dont that time to look for a place to live.
So much to do lol.
Hope you guys are all well and remember your time will come Smiley

How exciting Essex0227!! it's our one year 'Canaversary' tomorrow - I can't believe this time last year I was having a heartbreaking goodbye with my Mom and getting ready to leave for the airport!!

We have had such an amazing year, I know not everyone is as lucky as we have been, but there has not been a single day where I have questioned our decision to move from the UK.

These 4 weeks are going to fly by! Enjoy xxx

Dear FHaider, if you are not originally from Europe and you are a male, your PR apu plication might be longer than others. This is my personal observation and you can look at yasin, yameen, imran on pinklady spread sheet. Wish you a speedy process and wish you are not called for interview as this might slow down the process too

hi just a bit confused here.i'm  british my husband is a canadian. i live in the uk and my husband is in canada. recently i have applied  for my permenant resident visa for canada. i sent it off some time in march 2012, a week later the visa office returned the whole package back saying that the fee that my husband had sent was wrong. the visa office had stamped the application forms saying that they received them in march 2012. my husband sent the whole package back with the right fee at the end of march, i have not heard anything from them yet. i would like to know if the visa office is going to process my visa from thr 22nd march 2012. how long does it take for the visa office to get in touch with you. ps.. they did not open any o the supporting documents that i had sent with the application.

Hi everyone,

First things first: a big thank you to everyone who contributes to this amazing forum.  Reading your posts has been so helpful.

I'm British and my Canadian girlfriend is sponsoring me as common-law partner - we have applied outland through London although we live in Toronto.   Our application was received on January 31st and we (finally) got sponsor approval on May 1st. Now we are just waiting for the London office to do their thing.

We've been living together in Toronto for nearly two years and I've been working on IEC visas.  My current work permit will run out in June and I plan to sit it out in Toronto until, fingers crossed, our application is approved.

We're going to be taking a trip to England in a couple of weeks and I just wondered if you guys think that I'm going to have any trouble getting back into Canada.  When we re-enter Canada there will only be a couple of weeks left on my work permit.  Do you think we'll have any problems explaining that I plan to wait it out here until the application is approved?  We have bank statements to show that I can support myself without working and the letter saying that stage 1 approval has been completed.

Thanks!

Hi Pinklady,

I was hoping that you would add us to your spreadsheet although I didn't ask specifically Smiley

App sent Jan 30th 2012
App received Jan 31st 2012
Sponsor approved May 1st 2012

Also, if any one have any comments about my question it would be cool to get some answers.

Thanks.
