Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that we got engaged last night. Won't be getting married till quite a bit after landing in Canada as we need to get ourselves established first. HI Saig I had an interview at Canadian embassy in Stockholm on 26th of january and the interview was approved right away on the desk but the officer told me that there would be a background check and since then i have been waiting for the ppr. I check the email and the mail every day and nothing yet.. I called the embassy last week and the guy who interveiwed me has checked the file for me and told me the background check is still in process and that i would hear something this week or the next so i am looking forward to it right now. I am gonna involve the MP if i won't hear something by friday. helo is there is any one waiting for pasport request after interview more than 5 months .. ?
maximum time for background check ?

my wife has already involved mp but this dsnt made any difference its not chc any more it is in the hand of csis .. the canadain security agencies and they are sleeping ... well m p will get same reply it is under back ground check my wife today got this reply . what i wana ask you is after interview do they contact your school college or employer and then check your name on data bass system . or is it just name checking and other things like drugs and terrorism .. or . how did u prepare you background information form did you proivde them all contacts and addresses of your employer or just names i just gave their name and my school and college certificates was given back at the time of interview .

No i have not provided any details of where i have worked and studied, plus the interview was approved. Was your interview approved when you had the interview and what was the last word of the officer who interviewed you? I know background checks take quite a long time but we hope it is gonna work out for both of us soon.. |

Just to let everyone know that my ECAS changed last monday and since I hadn't received anything in the mail from them I emailed them yesterday and I have got an email response today requesting the pages from my passport and my photos!
Very excited. Shame I'm at work the next to days and it'll have to be done on Saturday...but thats what Next Day Delivery is for!!

Did you apply in the family class or skilled worker? This is a thread for people who are being sponsored by family, with 80% of cases completed in 7 months. 4 years is a long time to wait, you should really try and find out whats going on. It changed to Decision Made. They said they'd send a letter but I didn't get anything (surprise surprise!) so I emailed and got an email copy of the letter back. |

i need help from every member in this fom specially from pinklady zing and yasiin hsbalouch i am on student visa in uk my visa and medical both expire first week of may 2012 my case transfer to london office 18 oct decision made sponsorship application status 0n 30 november then in process for ppr on 02 dec .i recevied mail from london office for further information i sent it on 19 dec then again i got mail from lon more information .i sent it on 07 feb now zing and yasiin you both did yours interview. what you people thinking shell embassy call me for interview ? and there is any way that i know about my case perfectly i am confused that shall i will be called for interview .if yes when? coz i am going back my country end of my visa.plsssssssssssssss help me

Yay Bonitanita you've found us! The outlanders! COPR=Confirmation of Permanent Residency. It is what I am hoping is going to drop into my letterbox tomorrow morning. Get Pinklady to add you to the spreadsheet once you have posted your application off (send everything inc. police certs, medicals etc to missisauga. Oh and one other tip....pay the Right of Permanent Residency Fee up front. It will save you probably a couple of months if you do this. Total fees including the RPRF is $1040. |

Hello Imran, what type of documents they asked for? because if they have received the requested documents on 7th of february and your case is pretty straight forward then in my opinion you will hear from them before your visa or medical expires but if they wanted to confirm whether the relationship is genuine or not they might call you for an interview. in case of an interview, it will take longer than the time your visa has left. I will suggest you to inform them about the circumstances immidiately and ask your wife to involve her MP and get the latest update, this will help you determine how long will it take more to get your visa, Good Luck |
