Don't be nervous, gather together some more 'proof', more recent photos or emails cards etc. Receipts of recent gifts. Anything you can show since you sent your application off.
Then tell him to be himself, answer questions truthfully and calmly.
Don't worry!

Hi TGR, Im just trying to figure how long it could potentially take to recieve my passport back... could you share the date you sent it off?

hey vic.aj- I'm not really sure what the turnaround time is in terms of posting in a passport. My husband delivered his passport to the embassy in person on Nov 3rd. He only works a 10 minute walk away, so he just went in on his lunch break. He picked it up two weeks later on Nov 17th.
Maybe you could email and ask for a tracking number? I remember hearing someone of the forum that had that done. Hope you get your passport back soon!

Congrats those of you getting PPR, itīs great news Smiley

I was happy on Friday too, because I got a temporary Alberta Health card Smiley They say that I have to show them my First Stage Approval before 6 months to get it extended (if I havenīt gotten my PPR by then, which I hope!!). Isnīt first stage approval the same as sponsorship approval?

We only got an email when my boyfriend was accepted as a sponsor, never a letter about that. Has anyone needed to contact London to get an official First Stage Approval letter?

You do not need it, it would not come from London anyway.

Go and register for healthcare. Depending on which province you're in you might have to wait 3 months. I'm in Ontario, went to a service ontario place to register for OHIP, right around the 3 months of landind mark, my card arrived in the mail.

Do you need to exchange your drivers license? Open bank accounts?

I showed them the email I got from CIC but they wanted an official letter. I donīt know who to contact to get that.
Or I can just hope to get my PPR before the 6 months are up.

Got an email yesterday - they want me to give them an RCMP police certificate!  So after waiting two months for their own police checks to come in they've decided that still wasn't enough and I have to get the fingerprinted version.  I really wish they'd just asked for that straight off the bat when they first looked at the file in September.

Thankfully, I applied for an RCMP certificate back in July when I last visited Canada, in anticipation of the possibility of them doing this, so that's going in the post to the visa office today.  I just hope the fact that it's now four months old won't worry them.  I've confirmed that I haven't visited Canada since so I expect they'll be ok with it.

It drags on.....  Meanwhile it's nearly a third of a year since I saw my wife.
