And so folks, after not hearing anything at all from CIC in London since I got sponsorship approval from Missisauga on 19th November, this morning, I received passport request in the mail this morning!!!!
How excited am I, have been grinning all morning and dancing around the house. Haven't had any email contact, and Ecas is still not saying any information available, but I have the PPR.
Am leaving for Canada on Wednesday and as soon as I get there, I'll be sending my passport back for the Visa.
Wahooooooooooooo
That's so awesome. Congrats! Since my hubby is visiting me right now I am going to get him to call his Nan (where his post is going in the UK) to see if he got anything since our transfer was November 17th. But they probably get so many applications and not everyone is on this forum. So it's the luck of the draw of where you are in the pile. |

Yes Rob.Barrett, can't believe I was so worried about not getting the oz police check, and its gone through so fast suze_h, I wonder if it went quicker because we got my husband's UK visa last year. You better get your husband checking mmhughes, because I'm really surprised that I never received an email and I still have nothing showing on Ecas.
You just never know when its gonna happen, but at least we know things are moving!! yeah!

I have a good gut feeling for you Rob - I am sure it is your turn next! hey MandiF - I am a British Citizen born in Canada with both passports and lived in and met my fiance in the UK. We didn't have to get any additional police checks or anything out of the ordinary, no kids either so who knows what the rhyme or reason is on timelines! Maybe your IO didn't take a holiday at Christmas lol but really happy for you none the less! Anyway, wishing the best for all (as I am stressing my brains out) xx |

Its one of those really strange things that you have no idea the how and why of it all, am just really pleased, that they got mine done so quickly, I was so worried about going through immigration on Wednesday and getting all the questions, as I just wasn't going to lie, but have packed up my life and house over in UK and going to say in Canada now and I know how that would be taken. At least I have my letter with me asking for Passport so that they can put my visa in it, so will be looking after that very very carefully!
At least everyone else knows that the process is working and things will be progressing for them shortly even if no AOR is ever received or eCas updated.

Mandi - Fantastic timeline!! My boyfriend and I are just about to head out to print off all forms that need changing and then we're ready to file! I hope ours goes as quickly as yours as we're going traveling for 5 weeks and then land in Vancouver early March. My fellah is only going in for less than 5 months on a temporary visitors permit and has return ticket as well as docs showing him still owning car/house etc here so we're hoping that immigration accept that. Fingers crossed!! Oh...and congratulations! Must be the most amazing feeling!!!  |

Hi Shorttalk - just to caution you, there are still a number of us who applied weeks before MandiF who have yet to hear a peep out of London, trust me when I say be careful bench marking any other members time as you can't imagine the stress of the unknown, pain and disappoinment each time you see other PPR's come up from the same embassy you applied to and around the same timeline as your own and yours doesn't. Christmas really blew things out of the water for time lines for a bunch of us and we can only hope all is good with our applications until we hear something. Best of luck for a speedy turnaround !! |
