My wife included a signed covering letter stating that she hadn't lived in Canada since 2006 and therefore hadn't filed a tax return since then, and then included her most recent P60, plus a letter from her UK employer stating that she'd been employed there on a full-time permanent basis since 2006.  That seemed to work for the sponsor approval at least.....

Hey everyone, I'm glad I found my 'home' on here for a little while until me and my hubby figure our situation out!  Best wishes to everyone still in the midst of this process - it seems like one of the most stressful things we will ever have to do!
A question has come to mind since skimming through these posts - I will be applying to sponsor my hubby - I have been living in the UK (Canadian citizen) for 4 years now and working in FT employment since I arrived.  Will the CIC need to see any of my tax papers from Canada previous to 2007?  Or would it suffice to send them my P60s from UK?
Thanks

Just wondering how soon the CIC website was updated for people, our paperwork was delivered on the 15th October. We have been checking the website and it still says the generic no info response. I know it has only been two weeks but really we are really anxious, just want to know something is happening with it. Huh

It is just so frustrating right now not to hear any thing since our application has bee forwarded to London vo which was August 30th except the only update we got was ''Medical results have been received'' on almost three weeks ago. I wonder how long it takes before it turns in process..

Hi UKGary Smiley

Welcome to the waiting game!  It's taking about 70 days for the first stage of approval which is the first update you'll see on the site.  Our application is getting up there now having been delivered on August 24th - hoping to hear something in the next week or so and for us to be update on PinkLady's fab spreadsheet.

Pack your patience, it's a long wait, the only consolation is - everyone's in the same boat Smiley  Just keep coming on here - it's so uplifting to see people getting approvals so you know things are moving in London - even if it doesn't seem like it! Smiley

It'll happen - it just takes a while......

U can't check your online details until you get spousal approval which right now is 70 days after they recieve your file.
Sorry but you have a bit of a wait yet.

Thanks, we thought that might be the case. Just weird not hearing anything, its driving my wife crazy. We will definitely be on here more, need to occupy the waiting time and it is good to hear what is happening with others apps. We are looking forward to when we have our name added to PinkLady's spreadsheet.  Smiley

Finally got an update from my MP today....

-Most recent movement – they received emails from the applicant proving that the mother of the children is hostile and non cooperative.
-The case has moved passed this and is going well
-Case is in final stages and is in queue for final review set for Mid November.

So with any luck, my xmas gift will be my husband coming home...finally!!  Grin

Hey everybody.
My husband and I sent the application to Mississauga, pictures, forms, certificates.. and all the documents you know.... we sent them thought Royal Mail and they gave us a tracking number so we could be sure about the package. that was on sept 8.
We tracked the parcel and after all this time it shows :  has arrived in TORONTO CANADA and is being processed for delivery.

And the Canada Post tracking says..

2011/09/21   04:40   MISSISSAUGA   Item processed at postal facility
2011/09/20   22:03   MISSISSAUGA   Item processed at postal facility
16:15   MISSISSAUGA   Item was released by Customs and is now with Canada Post for processing
16:14   MISSISSAUGA   International item arrived in Canada and will be reviewed by Customs

Should I be worried? Sad
When you sent your docs Did you tracked them as well? or I am just being paranoiac

Pinklady- my husband said that our PPR letter was dated Oct 17th. Can you update your spreadsheet to reflect this.

Thanks!

Hi I don't think you should be worried. I was worried for the same reason but it's only because of the back log. I would be fairly confident in saying it is there just waiting be processed.

Let us know when u hear something

It really differs from person to person, some got just one update after PPR and others have had several updates at different times. Don't rely on e-cas too much, just wait for letters or e-mails. Yah, it's really hard to wait but oh well...  Cool

Thank you, well... I ve been worried because I called Royal mail and ask a report comfirming the package got there. After 1 month doesnt show any change in the status.: being process for deliver. So...we wanted to make sure that everything was fine. However the Royal Mail people said that they dont know any info and that it could be lost. So we are  Shocked  Huh  they even gave us forms to fill up ( for damage and lost parcels) to investigate if it was truly lost or just waiting to be delivered .
we' ve been on this... until now.. waiting and see what happen. completely stress cause you know what means that someone tell you that your parcel containing that kind of information is Lost?? Sad
However, after call even emmigration, they say that they are working on applications submmited in August 8th and  sept files would be open in a month :/ and they might have recieved it but is not open yet.
I think.... We will wait and hope that everything is ok, and its waiting for be open.
I believe Royal mail people doenst know anything different of what the website shows and they are not even update.
At least I know it is in Missisauga  Roll Eyes....
