Congratulations CattAdams, really happy for you. I'm still trying to imagine what it will feel like to get the green light, must be pretty amazing!

Kelly, from what I have heard it takes another 1-2 months from requesting additional documentation. Hopefully nearer the 1 month mark for you. CanadaPost has a phone number you can call 1 888 550 6333. Maybe they can provide more info about your package?

Finally after much procrastination and nerves I bit the bullet and called CHC London today to ask about my case. Pressed zero at the automated message to speak to a human (although not an option, it works). The lady I spoke with asked how long I had been waiting. I told her that it had been 3 months since e-CAS had changed its status to "decision made". She told me that was indeed a very long time, which was slightly encouraging, and so put me through to the immigration department. Unfortunately this was just a voicemail so I left a detailed message. If I don't hear anything by next Tuesday (Monday is Victoria day so presumably a holiday for CHC London), I'll give it another go.

Brilliant, atleast I have some kind of ballpoint timeframe now. Thank you. With a bit of luck it will be closer to the month mark, so I can start looking for work and having something resembling a normal life again in time for summer here. And I suppose then if they reject my application atleast we can get a cheap flights back to England before it shoots up for the kids holidays!

I shall remember the pressing 0 trick incase I need to contact them myself. Fingers crossed they get back to you sharpish, it seems like such a bizarre amount of time to wait after they have made the decision.. you've been incredibly patient!

Hope theres a way around it for you Naz, I think you've done the best thing in hiring a solicitor though.

I don't know whether anybody can help me, I sent additional information requested by CIC London on the 3rd of May - recorded delivery from Canada. I've been able to track it using Canada post, but the last thing on the tracking is "international item has left Vancouver 05/05/2011"

Does it get updated at the other end in England, or am I just wasting my time still checking it?

Kelly,

Try the same tracking number you have with Royal Mail website (UK Post). There is a %90+ chance you could continue the tracking from there.

Let me know if it works and best of luck!

Firstly congratulations to everyone who got their PPR, and can anyone tell me why CHC london have not started processing my application, they received it on 13 th of April, also Pink Lady you didnt put my details on spreadsheet. I must say that this spreadsheet is very encouraging, before joining this group i was kind of worried about whole thing but now i feel i would get my things sorted out soon.

You should hear any day now, the CIC table for family class sponsorship processing times says 42 days, working on applications received around 14 April.

I think PinkLady landed in April so it was probably a busy month for her, I think she's catching up as and when she can!

Hope you hear good news soon!

Oops sorry nadzonline I misread your post! Not sure if you will hear from London until they make a decision or want more documents, it seems to vary from case to case.

Thanks for your reply Heather, I know how it would be for "Pink Lady" to be with her family. as far as my application is concerned ucas is showing application received and not "in process" which is being a concern.

I wouldnt be concerned at all with that timeframe, they've not had it for very long....I really wouldnt even be expecting anything yet. Especially with all the bank holidays they have had.

Also, some people have received their PPR without their ECAS ever going into process. Don't frett!

As you can see we applied in dec and it only went to in process on 19 April, so dont worry about it, and as Kelly said many dont change at all till they hear about PPR.
