Hi,
I have two questions to ask and I will really appreciate if someone can reply these questions:
1) I attached the police certificate when we applied for the Sponsor. Can they ask again another police
certificate? and How long police clearance can last? as there is no expiry date on the actual certificate.
2) How long security clearance takes and what do they actually check in security clearance.

Hi,

Police certificate expires 3 months from date of issue and I expect they will ask for another one if I am still in process when it expires. No idea about security clearance, presumably it depends on a lot of factors (military/political involvement, relatives, criminality etc) |

No, I signed up to the ecas tracker web site and they sent me a mail.
The status on ecas changed from Not Available to Application Received in the Permanent Residency Application Status part.
I think it must have updated yesterday at some point. I can't imagine they are working on Easter Sunday - unless it is an automated computer doing the updates.
