Should I be bothered that I still haven't heard anything more since I got sponsorship approval on August 17?

In e-cas it says under "Permanent residence application status":
"We received XXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on June 27, 2011."

Under "Sponsorship application status" it says:
"We received your application to sponsor XXXXXX on June 27, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 17, 2011.

We sent you a letter on August 17, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

That's it. Should I just assume that it has arrived in London and that they just haven't updated e-cas, or is there any cause for concern with regards to my application getting delivered there? Any input would be appreciated as I'm getting worried.

It was about a month after sponsorship approval before I had any more updates on ecas...I wouldn't worry

Make sure you apply for your police certificate, that can take a little longer to arrive, especially if you're having it sent to canada.
You should have enough time, but read over the document checklists so you have a good idea of what you need.

Thanks guys.
I already have my police certificate. I got that before I came here, and it still has a month and a half. I believe the 3 months on that, is the date they revieve the application with the police cert, right ?
Looks like everything is comming together now Wink

Got passport back from London yesterday  Cheesy

London received passport 24 Aug, visa was issued 2 Sept and received passport back 8 Sept.

Quick question though...

PPR email asked for passport and 2 photos but there is only 1 photo affixed to the COPR. The visa issued inside passport does not have a photo, is this the same for everyone else?

Visa just seems to be "blank / missing something" on the left hand side  Roll Eyes

This was the same for me. I am thinking maybe the second photo is used for the PR card?
Anyway dont worry about it, the visa in the passport doesnt include a photo.
Congrats on getting passport back, when are you planning to land?

I sure can! I've kept secrets for longer than that lol  Cheesy

Our last visit to Canada was in 2008 so they will definately be surprised to see us arrive. I still have my house keys so Im kinda hoping they'll be out shopping by the time we get there, so we can let ourselves in for maximum effect!  Tongue

Sooo. I landed on Tuesday, same place that I queued for 2hours in, and were disgusting and had me in tears when I arrived as a visitor (Vancouver Airport) And this time around they were FANTASTIC. Very lovely to me. Commented on how nice and infrequent it was to have a younger common law immigrant (I'm 23) and from taking a look around the office I think they were relieved that English is my first language - an easy one in a long line I think haha. Then I got a little welcome pack that explains insurance and your SIN number, and they told me where my local offices in Nanaimo were etcetc. The IO next door even knew the place that I'm from (Middlesbrough UK - not many people do!) and we had a nice little chat. All in all it took me about 20mins, my boyfriend was out getting the luggage - she asked to see him but then decided his passport and PR card were enough ( he gave them to me while he waited for our bags) asked a couple of simple questions like address and whatnot. Fixed my COPR to my passport and said I would get my PR card in about 2months.

Utterly painless - even after 5am start for a 9 hour delayed flight from Glasgow. My god that was a LONGGGG day Sad

Hope that helps anybody that has a landing coming up - it's really nothing to fret over Smiley

My e-cas got updated for the first time today. It says "medicals received". I guess that means they have started processing it in London?
