Anyone who handed in application in early August already have their PPR? I am so upset cuz I saw someone who is in September already has their PPR and I don't even have my application inprocess:(
Its been 6 months I only get my AOR in jan 5 with my own UCI.

Anyone knows how long more do I have to wait?

I am with you on this veronica.law. We sent in our application in Aug 2nd week. We received AOR on Jan 4, 2012. I am not sure how things are working out in Buf. Its frustrating to see that there is no queue followed with the applications. I am tired...Life seems to be on hold...

Just to respond to everyone wondering why they're not listed yet as "in process" or don't have PPR, but someone who applied after them does - order your GCMS notes!! It was the best piece of advice I got from this forum while I was waiting for my PPR, and I can't recommend it enough. By getting my GCMS notes I was able to find out that my file hadn't been touched in months, and that the excuses Buffalo kept giving my MP were bullsh*t.

It only cost me $5 to get my GCMS notes via email (it took about 30 days), and I will be forever grateful to this forum for letting me know I could do that and get a real update on my file.

How did you order GCMS notes? Is there a link? Where can I get the appropriate forms?

Yes, I'm in Toronto. Will follow your instruction. Many thanks veronica!

Are you in Toronto? I just went to the official finger print place which u can find online. Besure bring in your hk ID if you have one. And tell the person u wanna do one for hk as well then they will give you the documents and help u do the ink finger print. After that, they will ask you to sign a forms then u go to the bank n ask for money order hkd160. And send it back to hk approx. 3 weeks later u will receive a hk police lePtter stated that they have already cash out and proceed your case.
However, if you are currently living in hk u can not do it unless the VO require you to do so.

Hope it makes you feel better
Hi nhl1011 and Veronica, I am in the same situation as you are guys, I sent my application to Mississauga May 19, 2011, and Buffalo received my Application July 11, 2011, I got my AOR August 8, 2011----- my e-cas still states: we received your application for pr july 11, 2011, medical have been received - that is all- no "in Progress".
What I noticed is that we are all in Canada now, I am in Toronto and I have post graduate work permit. Do you have guys lawyer or you sent on your own?

I just did it myself because i think hiring a lawyer is wasting money haha we can all do it our own just a bit complicated
I have my 3 years work permit too and have been with my boyfriend for 7 years ... and our case is very straight forward I wish the VO could move faster!

I am in Toronto, I have visitor record....didn't apply for work permit in 2009 after finish my master degree...
Me and my wife have been living together since 2006, never seperated for more than a month...travelled a lot...etc etc...I think everyone thinks their case is straight forward when they apply, but that doesnt mean what vo thinks...and I don't think that has nothing to do with processing time.
Btw I am a Chinese citizen...I think that means sth. They might deal with us citizen's cases first, since buffalo is in us? I'd like to think in that way...cuz for me I should've sent to Beijing...
Btw I hired immigration consultant to prepare/organize our documents.
If I did send my case to Beijing, i might have a result long long long time ago...buffalo vo sucks. They don't have any certain rules or orders...which make me go nuts!

I got another visitor extension, and getting my 3rd notes in couple days...I will fire at buffalo with all 3 notes and 2 visitor extension. I don't give a ****about what they reply, I will just tell them how patience I was, and how they responded to my patience by doing nth to my case for 7 months!
All I want is a result...accept, interview, reject any of them is ok with me.

well its been a year this month for me since I applied.Actualy longer if you count when I first sent the app In back In Nov 2010.I dont think the In Process means anything because I have been In Process for 5 months.Think about it Ive been In Process longer than people have subitted there app.Theres people that have been waiting longer than I have even.It just burns me when people start complaneing about there app and its only been 3 or 4 months. If your haveing a hard time with it now than its going to be realy hard if you have to wait another 6 to 8 months.Sorry for the rant its just one of those mornings.

I wish we were given an open work permit after sponsor approval like those inland applicants. If I was working I wouldn't care how long the process would take. The most difficult part of waiting for me is being a 'visitor' in Canada for God knows how long without work/study permit and health coverage.

And...what happened? What made them actually touch your file?  Cuz I think I am currently in the same situation you had b4.

I called them out on it when I contacted them afterward. Eventually a real person wrote back, but gave me more bs, claiming they had never gotten my meds and had re-requested those. I was able to point out that based on my GCMS notes it was very apparent that they not only had my meds, but they had already reviewed them (there were notes indicating that there was no reason to place me under medical surveillance, etc. stuff that they could only say if they'd seen my notes). I kept pestering them and calling them out (politely) on their BS and eventually (i.e. a couple of weeks later) they stopped bs-ing and finally gave me my PPR.

Oh, haha, I meant I called them on their bs (I pointed out that I knew they were bs-ing me), not that I actually called them. I don't know of a proper telephone number (though I think Ddobro2 may have said something about that recently), and so I only communicated with them via email.
