I'm so happy for all of you that are moving through so quickly. I'm starting to lose hope for our case, as we just had another round of fingerprints rejected. Its so frustrating knowing that this is the only thing that is holding us up, and every rejections means another 12 week wait. Our medicals are going to expire in november, so i'm pretty sure now that they will expire before we even hear back on our next set, and its pretty discouraging :/
I faxed into Ottawa re: medical findings but I haven't received an answer back yet, so I'm not sure how long that normally takes, but it was a few days ago that we sent it in. Its so hard to stay positive.

I wish I had just stuck my husband on a boat and sailed him across the lake disguised as a Sri Lanken. He would be here by now... but OH NO, we have to do things legitimately and so we are penalized by a long wait. IM SO MAD RIGHT NOW... Just in case anyone couldnt tell... Exactly my feelings!!! We try to do things the right way and we have to go through hell.. but hey, if I had 50,000 to throw away by jumping on a boat, I would have gotten the red carpet treatment, a free doctor's visit (which I need desperately right now), etc! Heather, Buffalo LOVES to 'lose' FBI records even when it's all sent together. I think it's a part of their game sometimes. You saw where they sent me the wrong form letter for AOR, right? They can't even bother to copy and paste the right information!!

What's going on with those fingerprints?? Rejected again? Where did you get them done? I got mine done at a local police station and they were very careful to make sure each finger makes an obvious print. I feel for you though

Am I able to send an e-mail to buffalo office to find out if they've received the missing medical photo I sent without an AOR. When I rec'd the letter from Mississauga, it said that we were missing a photo with the medical confirmation and therefore our "submission is considered incomplete at this time" and that I should send the photo to Buffalo office. I sent it with a copy of the letter I received and a little note for them. I have not heard from Buffalo as it is still a little early but can I e-mail them to see if they've rec'd it or not? Thanks.

jancath, I don't know that they would ever inform you that the documents got there. An email wouldn't hurt, but maybe wait a little while? How long has it been?
Also.. about how long after 'in process' did you get the AOR letter in snail mail?

Go to profile on top of screen clip on forum profile information Then type the info into the siganture box, this allows you to post info at the bottom of posts.

I just need to blow off a little steam here. My family and friends are very supportive, but they really don't understand this whole process. I'm so frustrated. I feel like my life is waiting for this poorly managed process to be done. Would it hurt to keep us a little bit more informed. I have a potential job in Calgary where we will be living and I'm afraid that they will find someone else while I wait for the final word. I just wish I knew how much longer. Something a little more concrete than 4 to 10 months! No children Master's degree in Clinical Psychology Medicals done Oct 9, 2009 Married Nov 6, 2009 Background check completed by FBI March 25, 2010 Sent Application March 27, 2010 Application Received April 13, 2010 Sponsor approved May 11, 2010 Transfer to Buffalo June 9, 2010 Interview waived July 23, 2010 RPRF requested Aug 5, 2010 RPRF payment made July 29, 2010 (before instructions were mailed to my husband (sponsor)) RPRF payment rejected wrong method of payment Aug 11, 2010 correct RPRF payment received by Miss. If they requested RPRF I except it will be very short since they only request that if you were approved, right? Good luck!

That's great - I wonder how many people that is true for, though - how come some people from March/April are still waiting...?

ljane, I agree with silverbee that if they are asking for your fee that you are probably approved. However, I think that the fact that the fee wasn't paid up front can delay it for a few more weeks.. but you are still very close!
