Between leaving work and coming home, the e-Cas Tracker service I signed up for sent me an email stating the following:
Latest update:
A decision has been made on "__________________"'s application. The office will contact "__________________" concerning this decision.
When I check the tracker myself, under the Permanent Residence Application Status it says: "Decision Made" and the following:
We started processing "__________________"'s application on August 2, 2010.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on "__________________"'s application. The office will contact "__________________" concerning this decision.
What does this mean? It can't be a good sign... can it?
Any insight is appreciated.

I think she means that neither of them immigrated - they were born citizens of their respective countries.

No ecas update today..  But I know a lot of you guys got letters long before an ecas update, so hopefully something comes in the mail soon! Hopefully they are working on it and I just don't know it  |

It's not a requirement. So, don't wait for e-CAS updates!! Some visa offices use it , others do not, and Buffalo is an office that doesn't necessarily use it to communicate with applicants. That's why lots of people never get an e-CAS update, but then wind up getting a PPR by mail. |

It also doesn't help that I just changed my address.. so it may come here, or it may go to the states.. who knows! LOL.. I've got everyone on the look out!

btw for the Feb and March applicants why is it taking them so long!!!! I m thinking i will be sponsored by end early october guess notttttttt Well, despite seeming like its taking forever, its actually still within very early time frames. Buffalo does 30% of its cases in 4 months, but that's not 4 months from when it was sent to Mississauga, but 4 months when it arrives in Buffalo. In addition, that time of year there was a really really long delay for them to start processing sponsorship. I think it was 68 days from when I applied, you summer people are getting your's in a month! So while my application was submitted at the beginning of March, I didn't get my sponsor's approval until nearly mid May. I'm anxious because I just want this to be over (and on a time crunch since I'd like to start taking my "free" french lessons) but I'm not worried. It will be done when its done. |

I m thinking i will be sponsored by end early october guess notttttttt yeah, I don't know why they don't make that more clear. some visa offices seem to update e-CAS every time an IO so much as glances at your file, but I read it on here somewhere that buffalo just doesn't. Or, some IOs update, and others don't seem to. So you can get an AOR letter from B'lo, without e-CAS updating. And some people check e-CAS and never get any updates at all, despite having an AOR and a PPR.....while others have e-CAS updated throughout. I don't know why they wouldn't be consistent but I guess it's up to the individual....weird, right?? hopefully that will save your sanity a little!! |
