Sent my RPRF receipt to Mississauga on 16 August 2011. Hope it gets taken care of before 60 days after 3 August 2011. Also just sent an email to Buffalo pretty much stating that the Fax was sent and got confirmation that it was delivered and now it is their hands to get it done or let us know if there is something else needed. Also, that we should not be held at fault if it passes the 60 day window as we have done all that has been asked of us and all our contact info is up to date so there is no reason we should not be able to be contacted in a timely manner. Pretty sure the email to Buffalo will get me nowhere, but I do keep all of them with delivery/read receipts so if does some down to it I can prove that I am trying to get answers but am not getting any help at all. Good Luck to all!!!

In the news this week:
On Monday (Aug 15), I sent an e-mail asking if we should get appointments made to get medicals redone (they were done in Sept last year).
On Tuesday (Aug 16), I get the standard "we'll let you know if we need other documents, now sit down and STFU" (paraphrase).
Early this AM, I got an e-Cas Tracker e-mail saying that an update was made. Apparently, we are now "In Process" as of August 16!
Hopefully this results in some good news really soon!

I like the "sit down and stfu" paraphrase... That's what I felt they were really saying when they replied to me too. haha.

Yeah. When my question is this: "My medical will be expiring in about a month and a half and I am wondering if I should get that updated in order to avoid further delays in the processing of my file." and their response is this: "Should additional information be required we will contact you." It's a little annoying.

I think with medicals it's more an issue if you have the ~$300 to redo them only to find out after Buffalo had the original result validity extended. I'm glad we didn't jump on redoing ours.

I hadn't had any ecas updates or anything since they said they received my husband's application for permanent residence on March 11th, then today I signed on and received this:
We received your application for permanent residence on March 11, 2011. We started processing your application on August 15, 2011.
Movement from Buffalo! Our 2 year anniversary is on Sept 9th, so a PPR would be a fabulous present since we haven't seen each other since January 7th...

I hear you. And we're not jumping on it unless they ask us to. But I was also trying to spur them on to let us know if we should. In the big scheme of things, $300 is pretty minimal compared to the potential income of my wife during the 2+ month delay if we had to get them redone (and didn't find out until they were very near expiry). The DMP in our area is very difficult to get appointments with (I believe she was booking 3 weeks ahead of time last year). Then if tests need to be redone, that's a bit longer, then who knows how long until Ottawa receives, processes and forwards the results to Buffalo.

We got the same response this week to the same question. Unfortunately, we're still at application received. What wouldn't I do for some indication that it hasn't been just idling there for the past 7 months. Congrats to you on the progress though.

Congrats. I hope this is because they just got around to updating e-CAS now and not that your application has been waiting for 5 months for someone to look at it. You're not on the spreadsheet - do you want to be added? I think we all know that this wishful thinking is probably just that. Considering my e-Cas update saying "in process as of Aug 16" came sometime after business on the 18th, I think they just got around to opening the file.

Hopefully they do respond to you. We just got our CAIPS notes and can see where they extended my husband's medical from May 2011 to Nov 2011.
