We got the exact same response. Application received in Buffalo sometime in mid January (too lazy to look for the date now). If you look carefully, all the people getting PPR have had an official IA from Buffalo, so I also don't think this "In process" means anything...

First and foremost, my sincerest condolences to Boomerang.  Stay strong. Secondly, I finally mustered up the guts to email Buffalo just now, and in my nervousness, flubbed up my hubby's DOB on the info I gave them! :O oops! I immediately sent a reply correcting it, but man do I feel like a ball of clumsy nerves! Here's to hoping I get a half-way decent response... |

I am of the same time line as you all too and I have emailed Buffalo 4-5 times but all the time they have responded with automatic replies. I still havnt received a F or B number and no notification that my file is in process either. I have emailed them again this morning asking them to give me a status update or file number so that I can update my new passport # and new address, god knows if they will reply properly this time or not.

I don't believe it!!!! My son and I just got our PPRs!!!!! I'm in shock right now! Everything just came together this week. I got the In Process update from ecas on Thursday, this morning we found out that we have a house available to us as soon as we land and then...BOOM, THE PPR!!! There is one issue. I received links from the CIC on Passport Requirements, Photographs, Hair and Eye Color, Instructions for Passport Submission and Instructions for Family Members. The problem is I CAN'T GET INTO THE LINKS!!!! Does anyone who has gotten PPRs know if these are generic instructions for everyone? If so, can someone help me get to these links so I can get the passports out asap? Or, should I e-mail Buffalo? They need the passports before Aug. 11th. I appreciate the help guys. We are so Happy!!!! Please update me Sparkle...Canada here we come!!!!  |

I received mine by e-mail. They attached 4 links that are my instructions on the photos and passport submission. However, the links don't work. I just e-mailed Buffalo to see if they can help. They said I'll hear back from them in 28 days! Too long since the passports have to be up there by Aug. 11. I want to take care of this immediately so if anyone has recently gotten a similar PPR and can send me a link to the instructions I'll be forever grateful. I'd hate to have a silly thing like a broken link screw everything up!  |

Email for us as well. On the road driving to Buffalo a long 8 hour drive ahead of us to be there for 7am with some stops. We will let everyone know how it goes and will tell them to approve more December-January applications

My husband's application was received on Februay 3rd, 2011
the day we sent the application we included his medicals and FBI docs ...
We got notification that they got all his documents but when we go online it just says
Permanent Residence Application Status -- In Process : We started processing your application on February 3, 2011.
Medical results have been received.
Does someone knows how long after this??
Does someone got asked for passport after this?? I am any closer??
Thanks alot... I believe everyone here shares this anxiety of waiting : (

Hi GIANNINA, Welcome to our thread. You can refer to this spreadsheet that we all maintain on the basis of our progress. https://spreadsheets2.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?authkey=CLSRv0c&pli=1&hl=en&key=tSwhpbL3i0FEVj1Fw4efAcg&hl=en&authkey=CLSRv0c#gid=0 I would be more than happy to add you if you could give me a little more details, like the date when you sent your application, your sponsor approval, the date you got your file number (AOR) ? etc. This is good progress that you have the "In Process" status on e-cas ! Believe me, right now no one knows what to expect. There is a bunch of us who applied in December, infact my file was received in Buffalo on February 2, but that's all that my e-cas shows "Application Received". I have nothing after that. And then there are people who applied in Feb/march who had their files sent to Buffalo in April, but they have PPR. So it really depends from file to file. The spreadsheet should however be able to give you an idea. |

I was finally able to get into the email links. (Had to reboot my computer.) Got all the info and will be getting more photos from Sears tomorrow and then off to the FEDEX office. We have so much to do but very excited. (Sell one car, sell the house........)
I'm so pleased that there were no issues regarding my special needs adopted son. To everyone still waiting for their PPR's, hang in there as they seem to be coming fast and furious.

Hey Thanks!
I sent my app on November 23rd
was received on November 29th
Sponsor app January 8th
Then transferred to buffalo and got the File Number on Feb 5th. that was the date they started I guess..
Got a letter saying that they got My Med and FBI's in March since that.. no more....
are people on the spreadsheet is applying only for family?
what is AOR? IA? PPR?
