Maybe someone in this thread can help me, I'm going to be applying through Buffalo, I was married in Canada and I'm not sure if I should have the short form or the long form of the marriage certificate. We ordered the short form and I haven't even got that one yet, I'm afraid I'm going to have to order the long form and wait even longer to get that one. Anyone here just send a copy of the short form and have no problems?

Look up the appropriate applications on the CIC website. There's a package for the sponsor and one for the applicant. Each has a checklist. Review both checklists carefully.

I was approved as a sponsor on January 25. The letter I got from Mississauga was dated for that date and that's what it says on e-cas that I was approved as sponsor and file transfered to Buffalo on January 25. I got the AOR on April 29 saying that they received our file on February 2, 2011. I hope this gives you an idea ! Welcome to the waiting well  |

I was approved as a sponsor on Feb 8 and that our file was transferred to Buffalo then. I still haven't heard or received an AOR from Buffalo! Hopefully we will hear something soon!!! |

mmshock, yeah we do know about the upgrade.. Buffalo received our file according to ecas on the applicant part, on March 10. Going on two months and it hasn't budged. And its probably going to be another month at least before I think we will hear anything as the late December applicants are starting to get their actual AORs
