Hey guys, finally got some decent news!
So my wife and I got through to CIC, and they informed us that my file was approved and sent to Ottawa on 7/27! So it looks like you guys were right, and that April applicants are getting sent to Ottawa. I guess we don't really know how fast the Ottawa office is, because we are the first ones who have been sent there.
I can probably find this out myself, but does anyone know how to contact the Ottawa office, or any ideas about their processing times? Also, does Ottawa contact via email, phone, or regular mail? It sucked to be waiting so long with no word, but actually works out in the end because we have been waiting 3 weeks already after step 1, but without knowing we were waiting for it!
Looks like everything is moving along the way it should...
BTW...is anybody updating the spreadsheet? If so, you can update my file transfer to 7/27.

I got mine via email, and remember seeing several other people who did as well. Surprisingly, the emails weren't worded the same. |

I was pondering this morning and I'm curious about something. With the US, you don't send the actual passport, you send a copy of all the pages. My question is, do they then just mail the COPR or do then send the copied pages back with it? Curious because we wouldn't really have a use for the copied pages (other than some burn paper).
Crazy part of it is... you send copies of your passport pages with your application package (or at least I did)... wouldn't that just suffice rather than requesting again? |

For me, they requested every page, even the blank ones. I'd submitted photocopies of some of my passport, but not every single page... as always though, gotta give them what they ask, so even if you'd submitted every single page I'd submit again if they ask.
