All right...first post on this board. First off, thanks to everyone who posts in here for the awesome information. Have been checking this forum for the better part of 6 months now while getting everything together and this helped me a bunch of times.
Looks like me and Occasita have the exact same situation (with genders reversed) and even sent the application on the same date (May 31) so it'll be interesting to see who gets it all done first.
Only problem is that we had Buffalo as the requested immigration office, only to find out an hour after mailing the application that it's now closed. No idea what that's going to do to our application!

Hmmm....how do I edit my signature and location on my profile?
Seems like I'm missing something obvious here.

Top right of the page there is a toolbar with "home" "assessment" "help" etc... click on Profile and it takes you to your page to edit your profile/account information and things like that. After 10 posts you'll be able to update forum info, like dates and stuff.

New passport is in the mail and should be in my hands early next week! Now the question is if I should stay here and wait for my PPR or go back to my wife for a few weeks...

Question guys. The new extension for the medicals, does this mean that the VO will slow dowin in the processing of the PPR and getting it out to us? I mean even though we will get an extension , which is great, does it mean they will take longer sending back our passports and landing information?

Hi, had a question and hoping somebody would answer it:
I recently renewed my driver license to my new address in US. I think i sent a copy of my driver license to CIC when I sent my PR application to them. Now that i have renewed the address on driver license do i need to send a copy of the new driver license to CIC? (BTW i had notified of the address change to CIC when i changed to my new place a few months ago but hadn't made the change on my Driver License).
Thanks.

Hi there, I just answered over in the US outland thread: You're welcome I wouldn't bother sending an updated copy of your new DL (assuming you submitted it as proof of sharing an address as part of proof of relationship so the fact that you updated it is not material to your application). Your address is, but you've updated that already.

From your post a few days ago, it sounds like the expiration date of your CoPR has already been determined: "Based on the validity date of your medical examination results, your immigrant visa will be valid to JUNE 13, 2012, assuming that your passport(s) do not expire prior to that date. The visa expiry date cannot be extended." so the medical extension possibility in the new Bulletin shouldn't affect you, unless you requested an extension based on the new Bulletin and they choose to honor your request. Folks have reported that the passports are still being processed by Buffalo so prep your B4, etc and be prepared to land in the coming days (even if you end up doing a flagpole landing or flight and traveling back to the US after landing to finalize your affairs).

I have a leased car in the usa that i am thinking of purchasing but haven't purchased it yet. Can i include that in the B4 form although its not technically mine yet. Also what would happen if i do mention it on the B4 form and then do not buy it. Would i have to pay a penalty for it?

You need the title to the car. It would be better if you bought the car. Because you actually NEED the title in your hand, to import your car.
