That white tape you see is supposed to be peeled off and an original photo stickied onto it by them, then the photo stamped.  Did you not have enough photos?  One has to go on that, one on their copy, one on the xray...etc.  You have to send in the original (photocopy one for yourself for your records), WITH photo on it so they have something to compare the one at the place they send the forms to.

At least I know this is how the outland process goes for those doing meds in Canada to file in the USA.  If it's any other way in the US, someone correct me, and I'm sorry.
Thanks Kiri.
The maple leaf stamp is half on the form and half on the white tape. If I peel the tape off and put my photo on it, than the stamp is missing. The DMP said he will send my IMM1017 to CIC which there is my photo on it.  It makes me confused.

Hi everyone.. Any Idea on the processing time from Detroit VO as far as getting your passport back to you.. I believe someone said they hadnt heard anything on Detroit for a while and back in 2010 it took like 3 weeks.. My problem is I dont  have 3 weeks. Husband has to land june 13 2012... He is over nighting express post tomorrow so I know they will have it Tuesday 22nd in the AM.. with a return envelope for same over nite delivery. So if you can hand deliver it and have it ready for pick up in 10 days. can they do the same for mailing purposes? I dont see why not.. He is also enclosing a cover letter stating the obvious landing date and the urgency of them processing and returning his passport.

thanks guys.. lol I think there is a question in there somewhere.. My excitement over my husbands PPR is tampered by not knowing if they will get his papers back to him intime to land.. Sighs.

any info would be appreciated..

hi,

Still waiting since Nov 2010.... very fusterated and it has been a struggle. Contacted my MP... they were no help.. did numerous inquiries online..with no response. Last letter my husband received was in December 2011 asking for additional documents. Worst experince ever.  Thinking I should apply to move to the US.

It's supposed to be 8 weeks for the FBI really - where did you see 16?  I just had mine done a couple months ago and it took 7 weeks.  Most people average 8-11 weeks.

Thanks OhCanadiana!   Load off my mind.

I don't know why. I know the facts are my husband had 4 charges that were dismissed on his criminal record. I am assuming this is why it is taking so long. We have been married for 6 years. No kids. I lived in the states for 4 years on a student visa then desided to move back here to be closer to my family insted of me apply to stay there. We decided to apply for an outland visa- thought it would be faster. So he has been working and living in the states since i left. Traveling back and forth when we can afford it. Has not been good. So tierd of waiting... should of got a lawyer but thought i could save some money. Big regret.

Sorry to hear your frustration, ndbella.  When did you last talked to MP?  When did you last request an update from Buffalo, eg through Case Specific Enquiry?  Have you ordered GCMS after your husband had sent the documents, to see whether they have received the document, to know what're in progress and what're still outstanding in your case, and whether they have any other concern?

Hi Lasiar, you can try to PM veronica.law to see if you can get some idea from her.  She got PPR on Apr24 from Detroit.
By the way, some people were lucky that CIC had their medical extended so they were granted a few more months or so to arrange their landing.  Hope you're one of those.

Hey GOGOGO thanks. it stated on his letter no extension not sure if that will remain since I believe it to be a form letter with his landing date added..  I wonder do they email you that you have extension let you know sooner rather than later? its just stressfull.. But I will contact veronica.....

Hi, Last talked to my MP a month ago. They said they would contact me with an update. I havn't heard anything from them.I will call again Tuesday AM.  I did a online case inquiry about 20 days ago- still havn't heard a reply. But i never have got an reply from them. I have done numerous inquiries online.  How do I order the GCMS Notes?

PPR received today!! Please update spreadsheet...
What are the most current "PPR to COPR" timeline stats (Seattle to US address) ?
