I'm hoping for a lot of red too!! I leave to BC to 'visit' on Friday!! Four more days until I FINALLY get to see my hubby for a while! So I'm hoping my PPR comes soon so that I can go back and visit my family when the holidays get here! and so I can get back into school!!!

My plan B is to stay in Canada on a student visa hopefully and just bite the bullet concerning international tuition, and reapply under the spousal category.

:/ But I don't really want to get married until I am done with school. I just always dreamed of my wedding and my family to be there, and the only way that will happen is if I have the money to pay for it when I'm done with schooling. So I'm not really sure what I'm going to do Huh

Does anyone have a timeline on how quickly Buffalo responds to emails? Should I hold out hope or not hold my breath? I emailed them Friday about correcting (their) typo on my address. It also worked out because I was looking for a reason to email them so that I could be contacted via email from this point forward in the process.

Congrats to all who are making progress and hoping those that have been waiting longer have something special happen this week.

So weird.  It is 1:18 AM EST and when I checked e-cas my husband's address has been changed to what we provided them via e-mail exactly 1 week ago.  I have been checking everyday and I even checked around 10 PM today, I should say yesterday but no changed not until .  It must be an automated change that gets triggered on Tuesdays 12AM?  I'm just thinking out loud...LOL

Remember, mine was approved in NYC, not Buffalo.

Today, several days after they mailed my approval letter, my ecas says 'medicals received'. LOL

I really don't understand why some people get approved faster than others... it should just be in order, period. I put in tons of evidence for a pretty straightforward relationship (together 7 years, married in April, no kids, etc) and paid everything before I sent it out and sent it out complete, but other than that (which I'm sure many of you did), I don't know what makes some applications faster than others, or makes some be chosen to go to other offices to be processed faster.

I'm leaving for the US tomorrow. I'm gonna mail my passport from there so I don't have to worry about using regular post, which is all they use for Canada. I can't take my PP to the NYC office in person or I would. I also need to get documents for the vehicle and more of my belongings and such.

Has anyone here mailed off their PP? How long does it usually take to be returned? There's a 30 day max on the website, but I figure that's not the norm time... heck, they gave me 90 days to even start on my app and it was approved less than 2 weeks later, so who knows...

It doesn't always say that... and I was approved before it even said that! So they obviously had them long before it showed up on ecas Smiley I'm sure they have yours too!

Cross-posting

I received my PPR in the mail yesterday too!!  It is finally over!
I am excited!!!......but

They only gave me 30 days from Sept 9 to send my passport in.  My hubby and I have an England trip all planned for the first part of October!  I FedExed my passport this AM for an overnight delivery and included a pre-paid return FedEx envelope for them to send my Passport back.  I also included a letter pretty much  begging them to mail my passport back to before the month's end.
Now I am just praying and keeping my fingers crossed.     Undecided

E-cas hasn't changed

Their policy is that they don't respond to address changes. So I'd say just check to see that it's updated on e-CAS and otherwise hope they got it?
