When we were coming in to canada after we got married...the greyhound bus had to leave this lady behind as he had to follow his schedule. She then had to fork out more money to get on the next bus... You never know what can happen with border patrol.

Good thing the bus station is only a 30 minute walk away from the border then.lol

Congrats on the landing.I just landed saturday and it took me maybe 30 min for my paperwork. But the immigration officer did my B4 and B4A forms also instead of haveing me go to another line for customs which would have been atleast another hour as long as the line was.So It realy depends on how long the lines are when you get there.

Thank you and congrats on your landing as well. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

When sending in the FBI Clearance to the Visa Office, what kind of information should I include?

Our Unique Client Identifier? Should that be on the envelope or written on a piece of paper inside the envelope?

I just want to make sure that when I do send it in, that it's received properly and catches up with the rest of the application!

Thanks for anybody's help!

I can't find it now, but I remember reading someone sharing that s/he had crossed on a bus and faced long lines.   The driver apologized because he could wait for him.   HOWEVER....he told the new immigrant to hop on the next bus with the same ticket and it worked out fine.   Sharing this because if you can, it may make sense to try for a time when a couple other buses are scheduled soon-ish after yours.

Hi, all.
Just an update, we got our passport request today. I had called my MP last Wednesday and he said that we would be finalized shortly, so maybe that had something to do with it. BTW, we're still "application received" on ecas.

Here is my landing story
6:45am headed to peace bridge(follow QEW to fort Erie)
8:45am arrived at the border. I stayed there (I don't have us visa) my friend went to buffalo to get my passport stamped and received landing paper.
He waited there like 3hr.(a long line up). consulate is 5km away from border. He paid $5 for parking.
12pm he came back to border.
Around 12:10pm I became immigrant. Finished landing. Grin

Ps: consulate is going to be closed to public from may 7th...if I remember correctly. Which means you can't submit your passport in person anymore from may 7th.

Ps I received my ppr on April 24th, landed on may 1st
