Hi apstone, it shouldn't be a big deal. And yes, normally people would wait for their own UCI before sending additional document to the CIC.

For your information, I attached in my original package only 4 photos and none of them with anything written on the back.  My file was processed ok.

I am curious to know where it says 8 photos and date, etc.  Can you point me to which CIC guide says that please?

And, you're on the spreadsheet.  Welcome to the club and good luck on your application!

Applying through Buffalo.  I read the guide and didn't see anything, but then I was looking on the CIC website at the general guide, and it did say something about writing on the back.  Either way, I don't think it's too big a deal, I was more curious if anyone else realized they had made a mistake after sending the packet.

From other posts, it looks like you just have to wait until you get a client ID so you can add stuff to the packet.

You run the spreadsheet, correct?  I can be added to it, as the package was mailed 4/20, and was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday.

Not sure if NYQUE will see this before the interview...

GOOD LUCK to your interview on Wednesday, and wish you a smooth return to Canada!

We are officially at the 1 year mark today, also 10 days before our interview in Buffalo, I consider to be on the lucky side as we, even though applied outland, have been able to be together for the past 8 months, from when I (sponsored) received a letter stating that an interview was required, I as a national of a country that requires visa to enter to Canada I was able to renew my TRV before coming to Canada, I extended my staying until April 25, even though I have a valid visitor visa until 2013, in the event that after the interview further processing is required, will I have a problem coming back to Canada with my wife?

We are planning to drive to Buffalo from Montreal a day before the interview, and coming back to Canada after the interview, I was previously in the US as a F1 student, I completed my degree in May and while in Canada I renewed my US visitor visa to attend the interview.

I ordered and received GCMS notes a few days ago, even though I sent medicals after submitting our application, I know they received them since it shows its expiration date (6-14-2012), but other than that, it says the purpose of the interview is to assess eligibility, it says medical not started, background not started and security in progress. Makes me think no decision will be made after our interview, I hope to be wrong though.

I will share my experience once we are done with the interview, we hope everything will be fine as we have nothing to hide, as has been mentioned before, seems that is a normal practice to request interview for non us citizens applying through Buffalo.

We were just a bit disappointed to the fact that between the letter advising interview is required and the actual interview date, it has been 8 months, a lot of other applicants have had their application completed is less than that time.

Anyways I wish everyone the best, I'm off to watch some NBA Knicks vs Heat!

B.

Sorry GetUsHome.
That may be the reason we have a longer timeline... 2-3 months for snow storms, 1-2 for thanksgiving/christmas shoppings, and possibly 1 for beers and hot wings?

Don't forget recovery time for hockey playoffs also....all together, that might be an extra week or two.

They have no excuses today... The "storm" has been a joke (So far. At least by typical Western New York standards). And the Sabres didn't even make the playoffs (again  Angry )

Get a move on, Buffalo!  Roll Eyes

Sounds promising, nhl1011!

From my GCMS, they requested IMS for my meds results and IMS came back after 2 weeks.

I received gcms notes that was generated 1 month ago. Some parts are passed some parts are in progress.Approved genuine relationship. Recommend waiver of interview. Medical is passed though appears expired in the notes.
They sent an email to ims to extend my medicals
Hope they will finalize my case very soon...I am thinking next month. Max...but who knows Sad

Just that may be I'll share what I found in my GCMS notes...

Note: My GCMS request was mailed on 19Mar (at the same time I sent in my FBI).  The request date shown on the GCMS notes was 22Mar, and they emailed me the notes on 20Apr.  I got my PPR on 11Apr.

Processing Time:
1) Sponsor Eligibility assessment - 1 day
2) PA Criminality assessment (RCMP screening) - 1 day
3) PA Eligibility assessment (Relationship is genuine) - 1 week
5) PA Security assessment (FBI, other police certs) - 1 day+?
6) PA Medical assessment - 1 day
7) 'Wait-time':
    a) From CPC-M receiving the application to first opening the application - 3 months
    b) File transfer between CPC-M & Buffalo - 3.5 weeks
    c) File transfer between Buffalo & NY - 2.5 weeks (noted as "TFR-Workload (re-)distribution" in GCMS).
    d) From completing PA eligibility assessment to emailing PA for additional documents - 3 weeks (GCMS not showing anything done in between)
    e) From requesting IMS for Medical results to results coming back - 2 weeks
    f) Waiting for additional documents from PA - 4 weeks+ (not VO's problem. And Hong Kong Police would not process the cert until receiving a formal letter from VO)

Note: They didn't seem to work according to 'assessment due dates', but more on 'triggers', eg, my notes says:
- "when PCs come in, file to SEH for crim"
- "when meds come in and RPRF paid in Cda, ready for FDRL"

Regarding PA's Eligibility assessment:
The GCMS mentions PA's background, Sponsor's marriage history, how and when PA/Sponsor met, the dates (year) the relationship started/engaged/married, which family members attended the wedding, proofs that show ongoing relationship (travels & photos in my case).

Hope this gives some insights on what they're looking for, and helps on setting our expectations.
