There are some movements for the other May 2011 folks, so hopefully you won't wait long.

Yes, it's sad for those FSW applicants who have been waiting for so long. I'm seeing there will be a lot of re-applications sent to CIC shortly and am just not sure if CIC is staffed enough to process this new pile of applications, and end up with another backlog?

I sincerely hope so  Sad I didn't get just how worked i'd get still waiting at this stage. Even though I KNOW i'm still within normal processing times.
One thing that has kept me going though is thanking my luky stars i'm not a pre 2008 pr applicant. My heart goes out to them.

Best of luck to you, NYQUE, and wish your interview will go smoothly.

Hello all,

I'm another one awaiting to be interviewed but in my case my interview date is next month (April 25), we applied almost a year ago (April 2011), I received a letter advising an interview is required (the letter was sent on August 2011) then I received the letter with the actual date of the interview (the letter was dated December 2011).

I have been in Canada with my wife since August 2011, so in total between the letter advising an interview is required and the actual interview date is a little over 8 months.

I also believe it is almost certain that a non us citizens applying through Buffalo will get an interview request (I was a F1 student in the US).

I order my last set of GCMS notes (I received them last week) but nothing has changed since I requested them the first time back in September 2011, the only thing new showing is that I confirmed I will attend the interview on the date scheduled.

I will start gathering as much evidence as I can, but at this point we just want to have an answer, I feel I can't make any long term plans until this is resolved.

Best of luck to all.

B.

Agreed.  I'm sending a first time application in May 2012 and I hope since I've been reading a lot of people about to send theirs in on here and you said there will be a lot of re-apps shortly that there won't be another backlog.  If it goes like everyone from Oct/Nov 2011 seems to be..4-5 months.. it'd come through around my birthday in October 2012.   ><

Congrats kourts!!

I'm so sorry Calgary-bound...  I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling..

Don't worry!   You've still got time - stay calm, focus, and double check.

Speaking of double checking, look at the date on the PC - it's the date they ran the PC (usually earlier than the day of the letter) that counts.

Good luck!

NOOOO!!! April 28th then.
I'll be fine. I just stress.
When they do the medical - the place that does it forwards the results, yes? We don't have to wait to send them? I assume we just send that form that's in the guide?

Yes..The DMP office fwds the results...You don't have to wait for them to receive the results in ottawa...just mail your medical receipt with your application...but do call DMP office to make sure they did send it and request for any tracking number that they might have ...so u can track the date when ottawa receives your medicals...btw, immigration doesn't even look at the medicals until after step 1 of the process...

Hi Shirsho, have you got the email of NYC VO yet?

NewYork-im-enquiry  @  international.gc.ca (official on their website)
re-cngny-im-t  @  international.gc.ca (the email address that they sent document request to me)

You may also consider Case specific Enquiry, if you enquiry falls under their guideline:
https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=new%20york

NYC contact details: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-york.asp

So...my husband sent an e-mail to NewYork-im-enquiry  @  international.gc.ca asking abt the fact that "medicals received" doesn't appear on our e-cas...The response we got was they are pending for some second medical examination...We never got a notification for second medical examination...so we replied back to their e-mail asking for what additional tests...no reply from them.....we sent the last e-mail on thurs...so lets see...I don't understand why they were waiting for some info and didn't even bother contacting/ notifying us...the reply we got was so unprofessional with grammatical and typo errors...I had to read it thrice to understand what they were saying and still I am not sure I understood it completely....I am sooo confused, numb and disappointed...Frustrated....Our life is on hold and they remain so insensitive to it....

Ecas shows "Decision Made" - last time I checked was on Friday, so it updated this weekend I guess? Ecas tracker did NOT notify me of the change, in fact I've only gotten 2 update notifications from it.

My home address is changed, instead of:
Street
City, Province
Canada
Postal Code

it now shows:
City, Province
Canada

UPS return tracking still not active. My oldest son's birthday is this Wednesday, would be fantastic if we could be in Oregon for it (to celebrate with my family since we haven't seen them in quite some time!).

Mumbles, here's what I've found:

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/indexpages/indextype38-e.html

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/offices/office398-e.html - I think this is the right crossing.

It says Immigration Services are 24/7

You'll need to check on the US side that they are open to exports (awor's links above) and hours for full-service immigration services on the Canadian side (http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/indexpages/indextype38-e.html)

These are just some thoughts based on the information available, what I've read, and my experience.  I am not an expert; if you want the facts, cic.gc.ca has a wealth of information.  Good luck with your application!  Hope you have a wonderful day *smile*

Hi
I Live in Toronto. My wife is sponsoring me from outland (Buffalo) we have been living together since we got married last year.
I have interview scheduled next week in buffalo.. pls someone who attended it recently, give some tips.. thanx
Also I have faxed them the confirmation that I will ATTEND THE INTERVIEW AS SCHEDUALED but never heard back from them. am I supposed to receive a confirmation?? pls advise
Also the letter that they mailed to me states that I have to bring docs supporting our relationship i.e joint bank account, phone bills and photos. BUT I already sent them all that when I originally mailed the sponsorship/PR package last year. What exactly they want. do I have to gather all theses docs again, or just get the newer ones after package was mailed.
I sent tme 3 emails in the last month to clarify but never got a response!

Thank you and God bless

They do not generally send an email....I don't think Ive seen any comments of anyone receiving an email regarding in process....MORE common is just checking e-cas and seeing the "in process"

Good luck!
