Congrats to all the newest PPR's...very Happy for you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You finally get to be with your loved one...without the stress!!!!!! Grin

I have a question...my file was transfered to Seattle just about a month ago( from email sent)

Ok...my marriage lic took 3 months to get it. S T R E S S
I sent application in with a letter saying will send as soon as I get it.
I sent by fax to Buffalo ( about 2 weeks before I got my letter saying transfered...do not contact Buffalo.
The email sent saying transfered to Seattle said do not contact for 90 days
BUT I see some get PPR from Seattle before that.
Should I email them to say...I sent to Buffalo but wanted to make sure you got it....
or not email them like they asked in email and just fax again this time to Seattle
OR wait to see what they say.
Thanks for any input. Do not know what I would do without you guys
AND I get so durn excited when I see the good news...and know our time is coming.

How much do I love E-cas Tracker???  A LOT!

I switched to In Process.  Here is the info in E-cas:

We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2011.

We started processing your application on March 15, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

So, we're processing!  Yay!

No, you can send address changes and information for your file before 90 days. They just don't want people nagging for a status update before then. Just fax it to Seattle and explain that the certificate wasn't in your original application and you want to make sure it gets added. No biggie.

Hi everyone, I am just checking in...I am from the December 2010 thread. My husband and I are still waiting. We are really getting desperate now since I am pregnant. My husband is Canadian, and we have been married 4 years. We have contacted our MP numorous times, and he unfortunately has been unable to help. How could it possibly take over 15 months? Has anyone been waiting this long?

Does anyone know if there is a standard letter we receive when they have decided to grant us perm residency? I need to bring that letter to Service Ontario in order to apply for OHIP.
We never anticipated this process taking so long, and did not want to put off having children any longer. My hope is to receive that letter by July 1st so we can have medical insurence before our first child arrives.

I wish everyone the best!

Random question, you don't even get a notification if they are working on the first stage correct? You just get notification that you are being transferred to Buffalo for the second stage? Curious as to when I can start getting antsy haha

Lately, cpc-M has been pretty good about e-mailing an acknowledgement that they have received your application in Mississauga. Not everyone gets one but it seems to be more common now than before. If you dont get this email, then the first time you hear from anyone will be about sponsor approval.

I called the cic call centre on Friday, the agent I spoke to told me that people who supply email addresses in their application should receive an AOR... I had mentioned some people from the jan group hadn't gotten them and she confirmed it was a newer thing that all processing agents were getting on board with!

I received my acknowledgment about 40 days after my app was received, but now I'm on day 67 of waiting and still no approval...

The agent also confirmed that while the date on the site says working on jan 25 that's just an approximate...I'm pretty sure that's what they say to save face when someone like me calls who is still waiting since jan 11. Regardless she confirmed that everything looked fine on my file and that it didn't appear to have anything missing, it was simply in process.

I think you still have a few ore weeks to go before hearing from them, and providing you supplied an email address hopefully you will get first stage AOR to help relieve some of e anxieties.

most people just check the tracking on the package and when it says delivered to missisauga you know they have it....I think the time frame for sponsor ship approval has become faster so you are probably looking at 1-2 months for this....then you will probably have to wait another month or so for buffalo to send an email stating that they have received it in Buffalo.....If you are on the spreadsheet..you should use it when you are curious...I found it very helpful....Mine was right on track with what I had seen on the spreadsheet and other peoples time lines....you should probably get comfy cuz you are just starting!  Hoping for a quick process for you Smiley

Hi all I have been following this forum but joined today. I sent my application on the 13th of feb. without the FBI clearance and got my FBI clearance about a week ago. Question do I have to wait to get a response from CIC before I can mail it to them. I am scared it might expire since it is only valid for 3months. My wife is yet to get sponsorship approval letter. can someone help. Also can I be added to the spread sheet for Buffalo outland.
Application mailed 13/02/12.
Application received 16/02/12.

I would send them an email requesting that it be added to your application. They may prefer that you hang on to it until you receive you case number. Check out the info here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-after.asp
