and If it goes to "in process" you'll be going insane like me checking your email multiple times a day because you think you'll get ppr any day. Been like that for a month for me. =/

Well, at least you've got them 'acknowledged' that they have your file. I took the advice of a few people and tried to force an AOR from Buffalo. Here's the answer I got this afternoon:
Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.
Canadian Consulate General Buffalo
So, I still have no idea when they got the application, but I'm assuming since they said I'm in process they have it. Maybe one day Ecas will say something other than "Application Received"

They gave you e-cas to provide you with an almost totally content free case tracking system precisely so you wouldn't annoy them with status inquiries to which they send content free responses. The former do not require CIC personnel do anything, the latter does. In a world in which Dell can tell you exactly where your new computer system is in the manufacturing process, and FedEx and UPS can pinpoint exactly where your package is located, it boggles the mind that CIC cannot provide even rudimentary status updates. I understand the need to submit some original documents, but why can't everything else be submitted electronically? It would be cheaper, more secure AND allow them to build a system in which you could "see" your electronic notes fairly quickly. I'm sure the response will be "we need to safeguard your security" but that's really a pretty lame excuse, no?

Yes, especially when they mail those documents to random people. I can't find the news link but I remember reading a while ago they just mailed a bunch of immigration applications to a random man in Ontario (I believe).

Calgary-Bound this totally bites and you have my sympathy. Think we should order our GCMS notes. We ordered CAIPS before just to see she had got our information wrong.
But I am very jazzed for the folks getting their PPR.
GetUsHome I feel for you also you are In the same lets get screwed over as much as possible and cant do a thing about it club .So I guess we have atleast 2 members if anyone else once to join the year and waiting group.I wouldnt advise it but come on aboard if you like.

My husband applied in May 2011 as well. Did you email buffalo? Waiting for 5 months after RPRF is just shocking. Is your case "regular/normal"? Are you physically inside or outside canada while processing?

Yes, our case is very straightforward. We contacted Buffalo over a month ago and asked if they had the RPRF we had sent in October, and they told us to send the receipt again. We did, but have still heard nothing. My husband is here in Canada.

Hello everyone!
I have a question regarding names that will appear on the COPR. In my passport there are 3 name fields - 1. Family name; 2. Given name(s); 3. Maiden name
I was just wondering if the maiden name will appear on the COPR and if so where? I think on a COPR there are only 2 fiefs for names, Family name and Given name.
Thanks in advance!
