i meant only in the sense of conditional PR. the states already has that system and our application going the other way is currently going to be subject to CPR unfortunately. "only" 18 months?
We were "only" married for 2 months when we applied. Don't worry, I was worried about the possibility of interview too. I had an immigration consultant and lawyer both tell me interview rates were over 50%. Of course, they also failed to mention that most of the cases they took on were complicated or ones from overseas or whatever.

The conditional PR thing is not even close to being finalized as a policy by CIC and no one knows when it will take effect. I met my husband online, talked to him over the phone and online for about a year, and made only two trips of 3 days each to visit him before he came to D.C. to marry me, plus the fact that we are different ethnicities and religions, and we did not have an interview request. So that should tell you about your chances i meant only in the sense of conditional PR. the states already has that system and our application going the other way is currently going to be subject to CPR unfortunately.

Just take the Appendix C that is on the last page of the Country Specific Information: United States form. The IMM 1017 (Medical Report: Section A) is used for non-excessive demand exempt applicants and is pretty much the most frequently used form by the DMP. When you show up with the Appendix C, they'll give you (and all of your family members undergoing the test, if applicable) the IMM 1017 (they have plenty of copies) to complete, so make sure you have the correct number of photos for these forms. If you look at the document checklist on the same form mentioned above, you'll see it asks for Copy 2 of the Medical Report-Section A that the DMP will sign and give to you when you undergo the medical examination. That's the "green form" you referred to. It has to be the original and it serves as proof you actually underwent the examination. The DMP sends Copy 1 to the Regional Medical Office assigned to his jurisdiction along with the medical results. Eventually (hehe) the VO requests the medicals from the RMO and assesses them as part of processing your application.
Excellent, thank you very much for easing my fears that I was missing something.

There's a publication from 2011 indicating that it's "being implemented" by CIC. No specific timeline for rollout or exactly when the 2 years is delineated (at the time of application or at the time of acceptance), but it's coming. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t67718.0.htmlWe don't have conditional PR in Canada yet though... Unless you mean your partner is in the US on a conditional PR?

Welp got an email this morning about my file being transferred to Seattle. I swear I picked LA for my local office, but Seattle will work too considering it is close to my new adopted home. Anyone been through Seattle before? E.g. processing times, interview likelyhood, etc?
Congrats! You will probably get processed quicker.... our timeline is pretty similar.... I've been hoping to hear of a transfer with our app but so far we haven't heard anything since Buffalo on January 19

We ALSO got an email this afternoon about my file being transferred to Seattle. I pray I do not have to go for an interview as it is sooooooo far away from where we live. I hope this is good news.
