Yeah does anybody know the exact time it would expire? I was just assuming it would be the date of the exam and when the lab results were tested (ie. Blood, urine, etc.) I have read that I will have to have another one before being allowed to land, anybody have any idea?
I was/am in the same position as you. My partner's meds were done last February. I ordered CAIPS notes a few months ago and they said the medicals expired in March, exactly 13 months after we had them done. I have no idea why they gave us the extra month. I was also wondering whether I should do a preemptive second medical and a couple of people here told me that in some cases the period of validity was extended, sometimes as much as six months. But of course there are also many times when they don't do that. I don't know the answer. I was personally leaning towards having new medicals done. It would take weeks to obtain your CAIPS notes, but maybe you can send Buffalo an inquiry asking for the expiry date of your meds? Maybe (hopefully!) you will be lucky.

Hi Guys,
I sent my file on 1st Feb. ....I mean my wife is sponsorng me through Buffalo. I am currently working in USA, she is a Masters student in Toronto. I think I have included everything in the file except I didnt attach an Option C for my wife from CRA....I wanted to ask .....for outland buffalo applicants, does the sponsor have to include an Option C tax form? There is only 1 checklist I could find for outland applications, which is the regional one and in that the Option C thing is not there but I did see it in one of the applications for sponsor later on.
Do I also have to send in the fotocopies of my sponsors passport, PR card n all or I believe that is fir INland requirement??

All applicants need to submit an Option C printout, regardless of which visa office is assessing their application or whether they have applied inland or outland. The Option C is reviewed by CIC Mississauga before the file is sent to CIC Buffalo. CIC Mississauga evaluates the sponsor's ability to sponsor and then the file is forwarded to CIC Buffalo for the assessment of the application. Form IMM5491E -Document Checklist is for outland applicants and must be sent with all sponsorship applications. Part 13 of the Document Checklist details that you need to send photocopies of the sponsor's proof of Canadian citizenship or PR status. Part 17 of the Document Checklist states that you must send an original of the Option C printout. You would have checked these off when preparing the Document Checklist that you sent with your application. ...
Part 17 of the Document Checklist states that you must send an original of the Option C printout.
Actually Part 17 specifies (emphasis mine): An original "Option C Printout" of your and your co-signer's last Notice of Assessment for the most recent taxation year. To obtain this printout free-of-charge from the Canada Revenue Agency, call 1 800 959-8281. If you do not provide this printout, provide an explanation on a separate sheet of paper. I included a note about why an Option C wasn't included and provided declarations in there about everything you find on the T1 -- no bankruptcy, no foreign holding exceeding $100k -- and also added that I have not ever collected social assistance and the last time I was on EI was nearly 6 years ago. I also included statements of my self-employment earnings. My sponsorship decision was made in the appropriate timeframe -- we should hear back what the decision was this week. I'm told, however, that it is rare to be denied and denials usually don't happen until a couple weeks after when it is expected. That said, we followed directions and provided the same declaration that they would get from an Option C -- so I don't think there will be an issue.

I realize that and wrote what I did because it adequately answered his question. The actual form was linked to and I assume that the poster is capable of going to it and reading the instructions in their entirety. The implication of the poster's question is that he submitted nothing at all under this head, which is not analogous to your situation. In fact, I also did not submit an Option C but submitted other materials that complied with the rules and experienced no problems. I did not even go to the lengths that you did, and I was still approved. But that is not what toronto-buffalo asked about.

It's completely rediculous. I don't think they realize it's your life they're dealing with and not a stack of papers.

Good morning kelKel. I find it funny, we're always the first couple people on the forum in the morning. I start work at 7AM, so as soon as I clock in, this is where I go, haha!

Good Morning, I work nights so technically I should still be curled up in bed but I can't sleep very well. Off to the gym at 10. My nights are spent on a computer at work

Thanks Mexicana for the checklist, dont know how I missed the checklist on the cic website, I will get the Option C and mail it out with the PR card copy of my wife My wife started working last Sept. only so although there is no income criterion for Spousal PR..would she have to prove that she can sponsor me financially as CIC requires her employment letter with no. of hours and salary n everything? 1 last Qs....I sent my application on Feb 1st and was received by CIC on 3rd Feb, now by sending additional documents, should I give additional details on the outside of the envelope for CIC to identify whose documents these are?

My e-CAS has also been updated to DECISION MADE!
Mexicana: Have you received you PPR yet? Can you keep us posted, if not. I will do the same. I am just curious to see how long it will take, after Decision Made, to get the PPR and how it will come... Snail Mail (or) e-mail. I am using a Representative, but Buffalo has my e-mail address. I am wondering if they will e-mail me or snail mail to my attorney.
