My status now says that too! I'm hoping that means my passport and stuff is on the way back to me.

Moonlightprancer...me too I check every day! And we rented a house today OMG our life together is coming together Grin....but move in May 15th
Pray to GOD is is here by then. s t r e s s !!!!

GOGOGO ...after reading your thoughts on the car.....I am reconsidering landing with my car....since there is a time crunch...and the money.
I am thinking have hubby drive me to border to land ( in his car)...have my car on the list goods to follow(.b4 form)..... get all my stuff a few months later.( with car)
I keep going back and forth on it...if I find a job right away...pray for that...will they let me take off  for a week to get my stuff?

Anyways I cannot decide either what is best.

But then the point is moot...without  my passport returned. Undecided

It's anybody's guess, but usually 6-8 weeks.

just want to share some insight ........... don't send Buffalo a begging email - it doesn't work  Grin

I told myself I would never contact them unneccesarily because I didn't want to be one of those that overloaded their already stressful lives with needless correspondance.

But I lied and went stright for the jugular with a "please please please blah blah blah" <I feel so ashamed lol>

Their reply was basically a "go away, we know nothing and we'll tell you when we do"

Oh well at least I had an email from Buffalo in my inbox today   Roll Eyes

Questions for those who are planning to land then come back to US then return to Canada:

I learned that I need to have a physical PR card to get back in Canada. And the PR card processing time now is about 35 business days (which is pretty much 2 months), which means that I can't go back in Canada 2 months after I land, right? The other option is to get travel doc, which takes 1 month to get and is only 1 time entry. Any thoughts?

From what I read, if you travel by road, you can bring passport and COPR before your PR Card arrives.  However, if you fly, you will need to get travel document.

Yup.   As long as you use a non-commercial carrier you are fine with COPR alone (your car or private plane or yacht Wink are ok, but not Greyhound).   The officers do tend to ask why you left so soon ('you celebrated becoming a PR by leaving?   Why?) but other than the extra questions no problem.

These are just some thoughts based on the information available, what I've read, and my experience.  I am not an expert; if you want the facts, cic.gc.ca has a wealth of information.  Good luck with your application!  Hope you have a wonderful day *smile*

No kidding! And here I was beginning to think disparaging thoughts about the LA office...

For folks' reference, I sent the LA consulate an email on April 5 casually inquiring about the status of my app, noting that my meds are up in June and it had been 90 days since the app was transferred to LA (which was a bit of a lie - it would be 90 days tomorrow). So that's 12 days from pestering email to PPR, not that I necessarily advocate a flood of inquiries. I was just tired of being the straggler on the satellite office tracking sheet!

Also, my ecas is unchanged. It still says "In Process," with the usual app received, meds received, and processing app notes.
