That's awesome. I hope that means mine is coming soon. I'm still stuck at in process and my tracking hasn't activated yet. I  was hoping to land this weekend Sad I really want to get started on my job search. I hope they move faster.

I am in a same boat too. When your passport was received by the office?

Think I'm lucky today... I just got my PPR email. Smiley  Hope this luck extends to all of you!

Now I have a question regarding sending in the photocopy of my passport (from visa exempt country), do I need to renew my passport first?

1) My passport will expire in mid Oct 2012;
2) I don't have any blank page on my passport.

The email says:

The processing of your application appears complete at this time. Please submit the required passport(s) within 60 days as the issuance of your visa is time sensitive.
...
If you and/or your dependent(s) hold a passport from a visa exempt country, this office will NOT require your/their passport(s) to finalize this case. Only submit the passport(s) for those persons who require a visa for Canada. For all others, submit a clear photocopy of EVERY page in their valid passport

Passport Requirements
!          Your original passport (must be valid for at least one year) and the original passports for each of your accompanying dependants.
!          Please ensure that there is at least one blank page, other than the last page, in each of the passports. A parent and one or more children may share the same passport. If there is more than one child included in the parent's passport, ensure there is one blank page for each child.
!          The immigrant visa placed in your passport shows an expiry date. You may enter Canada anytime before the expiry date shown on the visa; this date cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date, you will be required to re-apply and submit new application and processing fee.

OH MY GOSH GOGOGO!!! THAT IS SUPER EXCITING! CONGRATS TO YOU!! Pass your luck my way Wink!! I was thinking we had similar timelines thus far until I noticed that your case was transferred to a satellite office! I'm not sure whether to hope that mine gets transferred, as well, or not lol.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND CONGRATS, AGAIN!

He is in Canada yes! I read this somewhere:
"You can use your Canadian address as your residential address if you were admitted to Canada with temporary status valid for at least one year. This will result in your application being processed through the embassy in Buffalo, NY."

I don't know if that is true - thus all my confusion about it being processed in Buffalo! But regardless you raise good points. The interview was really my only concern, and I know we have a genuine relationship and that our case isn't complicated. So I am sure it's just me being over worried! I know we would find a way to get there for an interview if we had to anyway!! (At least we would get a holiday out of it?!  Tongue)

Thank you so much for your advice, it is VERY helpful and much appreciated! Smiley

You're very welcome!

and you're right, he can apply through buffalo since he's a temporary resident
 --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

so he can apply outland through buffalo or through the London visa office and give his Canadian address  (so use either the US form or the Western Europe one... . besides what is on the CIC website (suggesting that the London VO is quicker than the Buffalo VO - although this doesn't take into account applicants' nationality in either case, which might be a factor....), maybe it would be worth comparing the forms and the processing Timelines people share here to see what's more convenient and faster for both of you?

 --> maybe look at people timelines below their nicknames more than their spreadsheet because the latter was created very recently (so there's no much info to be found at the moment).

Thanks cgagnon, aminca & muffy1.

Re renewing passport, I'm not sure yet (still researching) and I hope I don't need to.  It's tricky because it will take 4-8 weeks which means I'm pushing too close to the 60 days submission deadline. Sad

Congratulations!!! Hopefully everyone gets good news this week! Does that mean you have to get a new passport so that it is valid for one year?
