Thanks motul for your congrats.

We do have a really simple case which I think is probably helps the quick turnaround. No previous marriages or children for either of us. Chatted online from Jan 2008, met in person Dec 2008, married in UK Dec 2009, he got his UK PR April 2010, but due to crappy economy he went back to Canada to work end May 2010. I went over with him for three months, then when I got back to UK end August we started application, waited ages for my Australian police certificate and driving history and then sent off application 22 Oct. Sponsorship approval 19th October and then absolutely nothing, no AOR, no Ecas update, nothing until PPR letter arrived on Saturday!!!  And Ecas still isn't showing anything. Boo Hiss.

I think it might have helped that I obviously didn't marry him just to get to Canada, as we got his PR in UK first, and then when he finally received it and could work, all the jobs in his industry dried up, so he had to go back to Canada to work.

I am going over to Canada on Wednesday for good and have been worried about getting immigration, so am really pleased to have that letter on me. And then will need to send back passport and hopefully my email changing over my address to CIC went through okay and they'll send it back to Canada for me. If not, hopefully will get caught up in my postal redirection!!

London states their timeline is 6 to 9 months, but they did all their part for me in about a month and a half!!

And so folks, after not hearing anything at all from CIC in London since I got sponsorship approval from Missisauga on 19th November, this morning, I received passport request in the mail this morning!!!!

How excited am I, have been grinning all morning and dancing around the house. Haven't had any email contact, and Ecas is still not saying any information available, but I have the PPR.

Am leaving for Canada on Wednesday and as soon as I get there, I'll be sending my passport back for the Visa.

WOW!  That is AWESOME!!  Massive congrats MandiF!!!  I can't even imagine how excited you are.  Such a complete shift...from the black hole and wondering if they even received your app to PPR.  Hopefully mine is only a few days away too

Thanks so much MikeUK, it is just amazing. Am still just grinning when I think about it. Had no idea of its ever received or anything and now this. Still no update to eCas, so not sure what's going on there.

Hopefully they've been working really hard and everyone will be getting a letter in the next week or so.

This really needed updating, have been so busy with packing up my house etc and with my husband over for Christmas, I never got around to it, but here it is, and as I'll be in Canada next week and not busy busy at home, I'll keep it better updated.

I've added all the extra people and hopefully have all the information in here correct. Any changes needed just let me know.

Guys I need to vent.  I'm having a super pmsy breakdown today. I never realized how stressful of a process this was going to be.  Argggh want to start planning my wedding.  Damn maybe I'll just do it at cityhall after this is over.  I dont really want to deal with planning/organizing/paperwork for a long time.

Glad you feel better! Its so good that this forum exists. I have atleast one day in every week when im pretty much getting nervous breakdown. And we end up fighting cause i take my frustration to my hubby. He understands, but if you would knew me, you would feel sorry for my hubby.

Take a little timeout from planning after the process is over. And you have the energy to plan your dream wedding.

Stay strong! Hope its not for long!!!!!

Thank you Millu! Yes I think a break is in order and definitely a little vacation.  This forum has been so great throughout.  Hopefully it's not long for either of us.
