Hey. Filipina, I looked at your link and this country guide is for Eastern Europe. My husband is applying from the UK, so this is Western Europe. The guide is found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3901e.pdf Check page 3, section 13.

It just says you need 8 photos and to follow the instructions on the immigration guide (found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3999E.pdf)

Found on page 16:
"On the back of one photo (and only one) in each set, write the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken."


What we need information on is when we should send the new photos in. Should this be as soon as we get the case number? Also, when should we get the case number?

oppss.. sorry i was assuming that was europe, but yeah almost the same you have to put the name and birthdate and date taken..

about when to send your photo well it depends if the cpc ask you to send it, but now youll have to wait the response of cpc then if they not ask about the photos and you'll get approved cpc will move to step 2 they will transfer to western europe and then they process your husband's application  if they send you a letter with file no. maybe you can write a letter and tell them you'll gonna add some requirements like the said photos. it does make sense?  i hope this will help you

                      Sept.30,2010....sent my application to CPC-Mississuaga
                      Oct.01,2010......CPC received my application
                      Nov.01,2010......checked my status "DM"
                      Nov.03,2010...... my husband received a letter from CPC

  Im from the philippines anyway n im wondering how long does it takes for the visa office in Manila to process a visa..can't wait to be with my hubby..

It looks tobe an example from the sept thread - the Oct App's have began tobe processed...Mine was received by MSSG on 6th oct so will wait to see where we are in the coming days ...

We had a holiday in there so maybe a day or 2 later than expected.  Mine was recieved on the 6th too so lets see what happens.  I'm heading to the cottage for the weekend, hopefully some nice news when I get back

APP. RECEIVED BY MISSISSAUGA:  OCT 5th.
DECISION MADE: NOV 5th.

Looks like time processing didn't change that much, Fingers crossed

I just read this on e-Cas:

We received your application to sponsor ***** on October 5, 2010.
We sent you a letter on November 2, 2010 about the decision on your application.

Oct 5th: App Received by Mississauga
Nov 2th: Decision Made
Nov 5th: First login with e-Cas

Waiting for the letter

Great News NiHao... since we were Oct 5th hope to hear something soon!!!

To follow up about the pictures yesterday. I called This morning and the very nice and helpful lady talked me throught he pictures and told me that not having my husbands bday on the back shouldn't be a problem as we are applying just for him no additional family. She said that is why the instrucations are under the family section- so that if you are sending more than one set of pictures they can match the picture with the right person and well we wont have the confusion. She said of course they couldn't promise that it wouldn't be an issue but felt that the chances were small that it would be.
Also said the application would be sent back before going on to london if the pictures were a problem becuase that is something they check before it is passed on, and that we would just have to wait to see if they were requested as Mississagua dones't like you adding to your file before they ask (i did know that already, but thought i would try anyways haha). Anyways just wanted to keep an update so it might save someone else a phone call.
