Misplaced Brit, I've changed your date to the date they received at Vegreville, at least then your timeline will match up with others received on that date.

Coldgirl I can imagine how freaky it was to receive a letter from immigration, but at least it had good news, now you just want another with good news as well!  Also, I've changed your date to 4 Nov, as that will be the date they receive the package, can you let me know if you want to stay on this thread or move over to November thread>

Jma, you will need to update the CIC application soon as possible to include your baby.

In previous months, Has everyone received an email saying Decision Made, before any letter or e-cas login ?

Im looking at my emails every minutes, and e-cas and mailbox, so much, lol !

I guess it could be a bit longer considering the statutory holiday Thanksgiving and coming Remembrance Day, it's why they changed current processing time to 41 days ...

how do you check your e-cas? because i pay online and my receipt no. starts with letter R followed 9 digit numbers and when i try to log-in using that no. it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:"

I do the same thing and have the same results 

I assume they don't do anything to your application before an agent open your package a month after, and do everything in a couple of hours. Create your ID number, send you an email and letter and send your package to the visa office. It must be pretty quick for them to know if you are eligible to sponsor, but there is so many people ahead of us, they can't actually look at it before.

I wonder how many per day an agent is approving application

mandif how do i update to the cic about the baby?
the baby was born in september and we fiiled our applications  1nov
i didnt fill the forms of my baby's birth certificate
iam going 2 fill the forms this friday and send it off next monday
idont know how long it will take to get his birth certificate

It is clearer yes, but not sure I like the length of time has gotten longer and now it doesn't show the shortest to the longest times when you are looking at your local visa office, just a really long time.

Hi,

Do not stress! They have not started processing your application.

Fill out the form that is required for your baby, write and explaination that you misunderstood and then fax it to CIC-Miss with a copy of your receipt. Reference your receipt number, name of application, name of sponsor on the cover letter.

Then post the orginal form and letter to them in CIC-Miss (registered or courier)

the other option is to wait your sponsorship approval and then if they transferred to the local visa office and gave him a file number then fill-up the form of your husband which is "ADDITIONAL FAMILY BACKGROUND" he is the one should add the baby in his form.

asking whether i have a children
my answer was yes and i wrote my baby's full name, date of birth
but the problem is that my hubby filled his part of application in june this year and he signed the additional family form without this baby

so no problem in your application i suggest that in your husband local visa office as soon as he gets his file no. then send again an updated ADDITIONAL background that is all he need to do, then write a letter that he wants to update his Family background then send a copy of the baby's birth certificate. but if CPC found out that he didn't declare your baby they might get confused and may returned your application, but for now you have to wait for the approval once you get approved they gonna transferred to the local visa then they once your husband get his file name then send the updated forms and write a letter of explanation.
