bob's wife, all you can do is explain the situation. They SHOULD understand.. I mean, you can't pack all your kids up and go to London or Africa and if he can't get a TRV, what do they want him to do? Hopefully it will all go well!

omg...our package went from the US (applicant) to Ontario (sponsor) few days ago and now we realized that we forgot to include 3 copies of Schedule 1 - Background/Declaration. Should we wait for another week so we could get the other two signed copies from US to Ontario or just send it as it is with the 2 extra copies being a xerox copy of the original that was in the package? Huh

I think a xerox would be ok, but I'm not an expert.. I've seen cases on here where they didn't put three copies in at all but still got approved.

^^^^^^ 3 copies of Schedule 1? Am I missing something here? Or are there other family members involved? My document checklist only says the original.

Maybe the one for your region is different, but we have to have three copies of schedule 1 for the N.American application.

Hi sysy, sorry I don't really know anything at all about applications that would go to Manitoba. Is it an inland application? There is an inland thread that can probably help you more, or if you started your own thread on your issue.

This is a Canada board but this specific thread is for people who have or will send their applications in May of 2010. Most of us send out stuff to Mississauga and that's why I didn't know anything about your information. If you start your own thread, the experts can help you. The experts probably won't be checking this thread.

We ended up sending extra copies of Schedule 1 from the US (applicant) to Ontario (sponsor) just to be on the safe side...sent it courier so it should arrive ON soon. HOWEVER, where is the FBI cert?! We are still waiting for that last piece so we can send the package off to CIC-M!! We paid all the fees on the CIC website already and we are getting more and more impatient...LOL  Roll Eyes

Hopefully we'll be able to send it off next week.

How long have you been waiting for the FBI? If you wanted maybe you could call CIC and see if you can send it without the FBI paper. Some people have said that the call centre has told them that.. but if you think it'll be soon you can just wait.. it's probably the best way anyway.

You may see this on the post I did, but my hubby accidentally paid the wrong fee on the website!! He called and it was an easy fix, but he said the website on the computer he used didn't even have a RPRF option.

Sometimes I wonder if the whole process isn't made overly complicated with the intent of keeping more people out! Tongue

Hi sbwv! FBI charged our CC two weeks ago...we are just getting more and more impatient. Sad We will probably just sent it out without the fbi cert if we still didnt get it by next week. The documents that proved we have requested the cert from FBI is already in the package, it's just a matter of pulling those out and replace them with the actual cert. I saw your post regarding the fees! That is horrible. Just to let you know that you actually don't need a printer next to you when you pay the fees. We paid the fees online and we actually received the receipt in the email which we printed out later when we have a printer. I am sure your fees situation will turn out fine! Are you guys mailing it out end of this week?

It's all ok now, hubby called and it's fixed Smiley Hopefully it will be sent tomorrow!!! He's been telling his boss about the letter he needs for weeks so hopefully he'll get it today! Our target date has been (for months!) May 15th so here's to hoping!

Hi everyone, I have submitted the application to sponsor my parents to Mississauga office this week. They received it on Thur morning. Do you know how long it takes to get some sort of notification from them that the file has been received and accepted?
Thanks,
Victoria

You probably won't get anything in the mail from them until they inform you if the sponsorship is approved or not. That's why it's recommended that you use a tracking number and require a signature for the package. You can track it online but I'm not sure exactly how. Search the forum for ECAS.
