 @  k8i

dependent children ako, after i graduate from a 5 years course, my mom told me to enroll again for another program, medyo mahirap kasi understand yung rule (for me) na "is a full-time student and is substantially dependent on a parent for financial support since before the age of 22" hehehe! (its simple but somehow it confused me) di ko ma gets yun eh, so its up to you to justify that rule, but if you choose to study again, yung vocational or some other short courses basta accredited ng TESDA na lang para mura. regarding to your requested documents, just submit what they ask, you will receive a letter naman if may request ulit sila. just bare if malabo dating sayo netong sagot ko sayo, hehehe!

embassy did not ask our TORs so we did exclude it sending with other documents, basta specific naman yung letter of request ng embassy, just give what they ask, always follow instructions. yung sa case ng ate mo i have no idea, kasi continuous study yung sakin, im also 24, our petition began when i was 21 kaya locked up na yung age.

Another delay! Just went to DFA today. Notice posted at 3rd flr stated that due to technical difficulties all passports scheduled for release today May 25, 2010 will be dalayed and will be released on Friday. It's been a month since our PPR and till now we haven't submitted our passports yet. It's so depressing knowing that every delayed days in our passport release means days delayed in our visa.

 @ silinggaling

Nope. Hindi namin ininform. Actually, trice na nangyari ito sa amin. Always naman na pag makareceive ka ng letter from the embassy, it is stated in the letter that you have to comply within 30 days. During our first experience, alam namin na hindi aabot sa 30-day window na binigay ng Embassy sa amin, so I tried to contact a relative who works in the Embassy and told our situation. He told us to "just comply". Delayed kami ng 1 week. Yung second experience (last February lang when the Embassy requested a parental consent from the father of my stepson), 1 1/2 weeks kami delayed. Ngayon itong last na, delayed na kami ng 17 days and counting. I never disturbed na my relative coz I already understand what he meant the first time (I hope I'm right).

 @ harveykian

Our green passports expiry is also in 2012 August pa but we decided to renew it. When you receive the PPR it is boldly indicated there that they require the machine readable passport (maroon) though, it is not mentioned that they will not accept the green one. In our case, we chose to renew it.

My suggestion Since you are still waiting for your PPR, might as well make an appointment with the DFA for renewal to avoid the same delays I am facing now.

Good luck. BTW, kindly show us your timeline. Thanks.

Yahoo! sa wakas, passport sent May 26,2010. never expected na dadating ngayon dahil nga sa nakita ko kahapon na nakapaskil sa DFA na madedelay daw ang mga for release ng May 25 and nakalagay pa talaga ang mga pangalan.

 @  silinggaling

Actually ang pinakaproblema sa delayed response sa Embassy is delayed processing. I'm sure my relative knows how long it will take for the passport to be returned with visa. But, honestly, hindi ko na tinatanong sa kanya ang mga ganito (pasensya na). He is a very busy person and nahihiya rin ako sa kanya na abalahin pa sya para sa mga ganito. As long as I'm within the timeline, ok na ko. Pag talagang sobrang delayed na, then that's the time I will contact him tulad nung first medical namin.
