good day. been reading this thread for 2 days only, di ko alam na may ganito pala. anyway share ko na rin pala about my application:

Nov 2007- received letter LC2 form
Dec 2007 - sent Visa Section
June 2008 - received the letter confirmation of LC2, but when i checked the site it says file was received March 28, 2008.
August 2008 - recieved instructions for medical
August 2008 - Medical
June 2009 - Sponsor (wife) followed up our status.
Sept 2009 - another instructions for medical (first medical expired) (so who's to blame??)
Oct 2009 - second medical.
Feb 2010 - wife received letter dated january (again, who's to blame, snail mail system??) for parental consent from biological father (for my stepson)
April 22, 2010 - recieved letter dated April 8 ( 14 days delayed) instructing us to mail our passports with note: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU SUBMIT THE RED-COLORED MACHINE READABLE PASSPORT..we still have the green one. now my wife will go to Phil embassy at Ottawa to secure SPA and consent so i could renew our passport.

Hopefully next week we can submit these documents:

NBI Clearance for me
recent passport photo
and Appendix A of LC2

my wife's interview is today April 23, 2010 at 1 pm Montreal Time..

if only i have anticipated that Machine Readable Passport, na mail ko na sana yung mga docs kanina. been at DSWD early this day for Travel Clearance (renewal, for the passport).

Hindi ko kasi agad nabasa ng maaga itong thread na to...(I know it's my fault).

ianpogi...may na meet ako dito sa forum...same problems with you...green passport...dahil mahirap mag renew...try niya pinadala yung green passport niya, di ko alam kung nareceive na niya visa niya...

kasi tinawagan ng asawa ko cic sa canada...okay lang daw yung green passport basta hindi pa expired...

i have to follow-up DARNA kun ano resulta noon green passport niya...

my wife and I decided to just renew our passport to avoid more delays..though getting new passport would add two more weeks to secure the new one plus three to six weeks more waiting time for the passport to be mailed back..

yung daughter ng kasama ng wife ko sa work, punta sya sa canada last october, green passport pa gamit nya. Pinatanong ko sa wife ko kung sa letter na nareceive nung daughter eh may note na red passport ang recommended pero ayaw na ng wife ko mg take chance kasi nga baka mas lalo tumagal. On Monday punta wife ko Ottawa to secure SPA and consent then three days more before ko pa mareceive yun plus 10 more days (rush na to) to get the new passport...(prolonging the agony).

I am in the 25th month since they started processing my docs (according to the date they posted in their website), yung one month nyan i consider na time for me to comply and mail them back the requirements they requested..

again thanks for the info wivina. sa mga naghihintay ng letter/instruction to mail their passports for the visa, i advise that you renew your green passport kahit na hindi pa expired kuha na rin kayo ng new nbi clearance..

            its better po talaga kung irenew nyo na un mga green passport nyo kc it's so complicated magrenew d2 sa canada...
            gaya po d2 sa alberta kylangan pa naming pumunta sa vancouver jaz to renew our passport..

 @  mayag - kaya nga mas mabuti na lang namin irenew kahit na ibig sabihin nito ay additional 1-1/2 weeks more before ko mai-mail sa embassy ang passports namin...

Sa mga may hawak nga pala ng Machine Readable Passport dito verify ko lang kung talagang 10 days na ang processing nito RUSH? TIA sa mga magrereply.

My wife's interveiw is over. Well, it was not really an interview according my wife but a mere formality she told, then the "CONGRATULATIONS". Also paid RPRF. Now, it's my turn to submit the documents needed (passport, etc) this week.

ibig sabihin nauna yung passport request kaysa Interview ni misis? thanks...timeline mu pls from medical to present..thanks...pina schedule ko na anak ko for red passport...sa april 30 ang schedule niya...

 @ wivina - parang ganun na nga...the passport request is dated April 8, 2010, I received the letter April 22, 2010. wife received her letter last monday april 19, 2010. though i am not sure and date nung letter na send sa wife ko...but definitely, i got the letter prior to her actual interview..

parang ganito pala ang pattern, as compared also to someone we know; 7 months after the second medical, visa will be delivered via courier (though its not conclusive). So far, this is what our pattern is. Our second medical was October 2009 so we are expecting the visa by June, but due to this passport issue, i guess another couple of weeks to a month more pa...Haaayzzz

nauna medical namin dito sa pinas kaysa sa asawa ko sa canada kasi nag renew pa ng passport...medical namin dito sa pinas ay noon jan16, 2010 pa asawa ko, nasubmit sa embassy medical results niya noon feb26, 2010 lang...up to now wala pang bago...
