nag query ako nun December 2009 thru email kasi maexpired passport ko by 2010 and the embassy just replied na kailangan valid ang passport ko 6 months after the medical...and mentioning that in order not to encounter delays in the processing, I was advised thru email to renew my passport and my three kidz' too, I wondered since my three kidz passports are not yet to expire at ang validity ng passports nila ay until 2012 pa, pero they advised me to renew all the passports.  It so happened that my brother in law working in Singapore (he is under skilled workers and professionals category) also received passport requests last November 2009 and they were required to submit the "red color-machine readable passports" too.   When I received mine (ppr request), it was highlighted in the box to give emphasis na kailangan nila ay red passports at kung hindi ko na-renew yung sa mga kids ko prior, baka naudlot na naman yung proseso.  Much better for you guyz to inquire also thru email, kaya sila nagreply sa akin because that info I think is not available thru their website, kaya Im sure they will reply. 

Ive read from a different forum which I cant remember kung saan, na-ni require din sa kanila ang red passports, I just used my discretion since nagtaka ako sa reply sa email na kailangang pati sa mga anak ko ay kailangang iparenew, which I did.

Gud luck to both of u, hindi man tayo mag meet dito sa Pinas, magkita kita tayo sa Canada, maliit ang mundo! hehehehehe

tumawag asawa ko sa Canada, nag-inquire regarding sa green passport ng anak ko...sabi nila okay pa rin daw...nagtanong rin ako dun sa kilala ko sa airport, okay pa rin daw, basta hindi pa daw nag-expire...kasi kung tutuusin, valid pa tapos mag rerenew ka na eh...hanggang 2012 yung binayaran mun validity...

tumawag asawa ko sa Canada, nag-inquire regarding sa green passport ng anak ko...sabi nila okay pa rin daw...nagtanong rin ako dun sa kilala ko sa airport, okay pa rin daw, basta hindi pa daw nag-expire...kasi kung tutuusin, valid pa tapos mag rerenew ka na eh...hanggang 2012 yung binayaran mun validity...

nasa atin na ang options na yn. as long as valid pa ung PP ng mga kids 'til 2012.
as of now , hintayin muna ntin kung mag advice ang CIC about the green color PP or The maroon.which is the latest.

kasi, nung time na nag vcation sya d2 last 2007 'di pa sila nag start mag lesson wid me.

ok lang ba kung green pa passport? dba hanggang april nalang yan? sa immigration iba iba naman sinasabi eh!

twice na kami namedical kasi yung 1st naexpired pero mine is a different case, kaya wag sana ma- disappoint yng iba applicants....talagang pinatagal ko yung mga Police Certificates ko kasi OCW din ako, kaya everytime the embassy requests for additional documents di ko agad i-send kasi I have contract to finish, kaya ayun inabot ng expiration yung 1st Medical,,,,

the passport requests for visa rely on the sponsor's/primary applicant in Canada...in our case, nung mareceived lang nung Misis ko yung Permanent Residence nya sa Canada at nagbayad ng Fees para sa family Members, after 4 days mayron ng passport request...hindi nakarely ang pag issue ng Visa right after the Medical ng family sa Pinas but right after the Permanent Residence of the sponsor was approved and the fees were paid.  It was the condition on their letter when I received the passport requests... it says, " We are pleased to inform that your visas for permanent residence to Canada are ready to be issued...conditional upon;....confirmation that your family in Canada (primary applicant) has officially become a permanent resident."

FYI:
In our case, ng mareceive na ng misis ko ang PR nya only this Jan 14, 2010, just in four days, may passport request na.  Kaya kung di pa permanent resident yung primary applicant, kahit matapos na ang medical sa Pinas, walang passport request.

Pochi, klan ka na PR at paid the fees (RPRF) Right of Prmanent Residence Fees?  San ka sa Canada?  Oo nga babait ng amo mo at ni Misis...sa Calgary nga pala kami...

kailan plano nyo punta then? balita ko APRIL to MAY mas mura daw fare hehe pero in your case it doesn't matter libre naman hehe...goodluck!!!

katatapos lan ng 2D echo asawa ko sa February 12, nauna pa kamin natapos na mag-ina dito sa Pinas...kainis kasi yung renewal noon passport niya noon- hinintay pa niya bago nag medical...november pa yung Open permit niya...

pero alam niyo guys parang natatakot ako sa magiging buhay sa Canada...lalo na't may 3 years old ako...takot ako baka wala akong makuhang magandang trabaho hehe...eh love na love ko trabaho ko dito sa pinas...
