Hi just new here - Im glad to find this forum for LC2 application - it helped me understand some of the processing requirements and the timelines of my application.

Here's mine:
Nov 2008 - ECAS - Start In Process
May 20 2010 - Medical Kit
June 1 2010 - Submitted Medical
Nov 5 2010 - PPR (also submitted the ff day )
LC1 (wife in Canada) - Dec 10 2010 - Schedule of interview
Waiting for VISA
Destination: Richmond BC

lapit na ha! Congratulations! kelan ba pinasa ng wife mo application nya? pwede bang malaman yung complete timeline nyo mag-asawa?
Atsaka Nover 2008 ba yung tlga Ecas mo na In process or nagkamali ka lng ng 2009, heheh kakaexcite kc timeline mo kc 5 months after medcal eg PPR na. salamat!

My wife submitted her OPEN VISA/PR application as far as I know on Apr 2008.

I got my LC2 kit only around Oct 2008 - and I need to get it from the Embassy because when I followed it up they said they already delivered it thru mail but because of the unreliability of the post office in my area somehow I did not receive that kit.

That's the reason why my ECAS start in process was only Nov 2008 - yes year 2008 pa ako.

Naku tagal na pla nung sa inyo, pero kaunting panahon nlng at finish line na kyo, lalo na interview na si misis. Nkakainspire ang mga taong katulad nyo na ang haba ng pasensy, kami kc medyo bago bago pa ng pagkapasa ng papeles eh inaatake na ng inip.

korek ka dyan mare, ako nga na 2 months pa lang naka-submit ung med sa embassy ehinip na inip na at gusto ko na kalampagin ang embassy pra padalhan ako PPR, paano pa ung iba na tulad ni milkyway? Haba ng pasensya nya ha.

Hopefully mabilis na processing ngayon ksi nung time namin (2008) prang mabagal ang takbo ng process.

Anyway pra di mainip - Just continue living normally (do your stuffs without thinking about the VISA but also plan your future in Canada) - my wife is working (saving) and living normally there and at the same time studying to upgrade skills. We communicate on a daily basis/regularly via skype, ym/emails etc. She always have a yearly vacation. Total of 5 yrs na sya sa Canada since she started working as caregiver.  I also have a normal work here (IT) while taking care of our 2 yr old daughter. Di ko masyado iniisip ang VISA - I just understand how it should be processed and just continue living normally thinking that sooner or later the VISA will be there and we will be reunited.

This forum helps because it allows fellow applicants to understand how LC2 is being processed in CIC-Manila (hoping someday they will allocate more resources pra mabilis ang processing - if they can process a fiancee sponsored by PR/Citizen in 6 months - why not on LC2) . It also gives us oppurtunity to share ideas - sna noon ko pa ito nalaman ksi dati nangangapa ako kung bakit sobrang tagal ng processing - now I know why because marami dito pla katulad ko - and LC2 in CIC-Manila seems not a priority so we just have to endured all of the waiting and by sharing here hopefully we can ease it.

Nareceive ko PPR thu regular mail (not even a registered mail) watch for it ksi ako I have experienced some mails from the embassy not delivered to me by our post office - I have to followup pa yung embassy pra malaman ko na may mail na pala ako.

I even petioned the CIC (I wrote them email) to send all correspondence via a registered or thru commercial courier charged to me) but I got a reply that its their SOP and no special treatment to anybody since they have limited resources.

Tip: give your CP number dun sa postoffice pra pag may mail ka i-txt ka nila agad (bigyan mo lng ng pang merienda yung empleado dun sa post office)

thats how were supposed to do but sometimes it's hard not to think about it especially when it's getting longer than usuall..like me im getting my self busy he're doing 2 jobs pro still sumisingit pa rin sa isipan ko....waiting is the GAME talaga...

korek, kahit ano tlga gawin ko din pra di ko maiisip ung Visa eh di pa rin pwde ksi tlgang khit ano mangyari eh pumapasok pa din sya sa isip ko. Lalo pa sa case ko na wla ako work dito dhil ako nag-aalaga sa anak nmin who's 3 yrs old now. Hay, mas mahirap pa yta maghintay kesa malayo kay misis hehe. God Bless us all.

We should get inspiration to all the LC2 applicants here who successfully completed the tasks and survive the ordeal - hopefully they can share some of their secret/formula pra sa mga newbie or incoming applicants to get some ideas and tip. esp dun sa creator ng thread  (Edwin1266 - congrats and goodluck sa Canada) who I understand eh matagal din inabot bago nakuha VISA.

Marami na rin akong natutunan sa pag process ng LC2 so I can share some tips/ideas.
