Hi July Guys

So what happens next? Should we be expecting sponsor approvals from the beginning-mid August? How do I check my application throught the immirgration website? Is it my payment recipet number or will I have a seperate reference attached to the approval letter?   

We sit and wait together! I've been tracking the May and June people seems to be taking about 30 to 45 days so I would say yes to beginning-mid August. You can start checking your status when they issue you a client number which we'll get after your sponsor is approved to sponsor you. (A client ID number is a reference that Immigration Canada will assign to the sponsors application, by using this reference on their website, the sponsor will be able to verify the status of the sponsorship & also the progress of your immigration application once it reaches the visa office)

When you get your number you can goto https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas check the box that says "I have read, understood and agree with the above Terms and Conditions" click continue and enter your info

Thanks Mel for the info. So this is a good time to pick up a good book or hobby (if you're not working *grin*) to make the wait a bit bearable.

This is where your sanity gets tested and your patience stretched, coming on to this forum may be a helpful way to get support from others in a similar predicament, but it can also add to the anxiety and sense of despair.

I suggest we keep a reasonable balance by keeping our everyday activities going. The good thing in my case is that my husband is here with me and my kids, so the wait shouldnt be as stressful as it would be had the situation been different.

I will be mailing my appli for my spouse in mid July by express post which claims to take 1-2 days only...

So hopefully I ll be in July 2011 list....

Hey hey... you can also check your status using your online receipt number.  I'm in the June group... and things are starting to move so hopefully not too long a wait for July... good luck!

Hi guys, just wanted to give you an update. I am still planning to file in July. We had a bit of a hiccup with the option C, but I think we've got it figured now. I am flying home to Canada tomorrow! EEK, haha. And I will be sending the app off probably the following monday or possibly tuesday.

Hope everyone who has already filed is finding the wait ok! Personally, I just can't wait to have this big ass pile of paper out of my life!

Hey July-ers! Just wanted to say hi and see how everyone is doing, I'm trying really hard to forget all about my app at least until the end of the month but i won't lie, it doesn't appear to be working...
If only we had some nice weather to distract us here in beautiful (very wet) Whistler but summer seems to have skpped by this year!

Oh wow what a relief, sent my 1.7kg package on Friday and it was received today July 18th. Hopefully it will be on its way to Vienna next month.

I keep busy with the kids, a full time job and tending the house chores. Luckily it's warm here almost all year round, except for frequent afternoon thunderstorms in the rainy season now in full swing. So between running errands, picking up my daughter at school, work stuff and school stuff for the  kids it's a hectic time for a mom. Still i can find the occasional opportunity for coming to this forum and check on others' progress.

I wish you all good luck and keep the patience flowing, for the road ahead is still long.

Hi Everyone,

I just sent my application off today. What a load off my shoulders.

UPS said it was guaranteed to be delivered tomorrow morning. Hoping that they acknowledge receipt quickly after that and that they don't ask me for anything else.

Then I guess I wait  ...

Is anyone still experiencing back log from canada post, my OH is waiting for my police check to get to him I posted it by Airsure from the Uk and it was handed over to canada post on the 6th July, so frustrating as this is the last peice of the puzzle to go into the application. If it gets lost I do have another one luckly. fingers crossed it doesnt though, this is driving em crazy now.

Lots of people have delayed mail sitting with Canada post, the results of the strike - a backlog that will take a while to clear.

Just be patience like me  .
My application was stuck with Canada Post since June 8 and i don't know if got delivered to CPC-M after the locked out or not but i got the conformation email and says it delivered after 1 month instead of 1 day (priority service).

Just be patience. it will be better to send off the other one YOU HAVE on DHL...

Go ahead and remove me from the spreadsheet. My custody modification will be complete next week so we're going to wait to get the paperwork back from the court and include it instead of sending it to Buffalo when I get the file #, which was the original plan but the FBI took so damn long we might as well wait another week. My husband still needs to order the Option C, so July definitely is not going to happen. Good luck everyone, I hope you have super speedy processing!

  Just an FYI  it only takes 5-7 business days to get the Option C Print-Out.  Mine actually came in 3!
