Hey, you don't actually get an AOR email from London, just an update on ecas saying "we received your application to sponsor xxx on xxx"
And its best not to rely on the call centre agents. Even ecas can be very unreliable. Some CIC agents don't seem to bother to update it.

Aha! Thanks for that PinkLady, I would've been waiting FOREVER!! I'm right in thinking that they email when they want your passport though, right?

I tried to log in to ecas a few days ago, but it didn't recognise the ID that was sent with our approval letter. I should try again.

is there anyone applied inland and  used the old forms after July 18th?
Did you include an IMM0008 in your package?
If so, did you inlcude the old or new version?
On CIC's website, it says all applicantion under family class must have an IMM0008 form. Not like the old outland application package which includes an IMM0008 already. The old inland package have IMM5002, which asks for similar question to IMM0008, thus I am not sure whether its necessary to include IMM0008 in addition to IMM5002. Moreover, CIC doesn't specify which version of IMM0008 to be included with other old forms.

Ya it really depends on the visa office where your case is being processed. Few offices have got a processing time of more than a year.

Ya but that is true that most cases are being finalized earlier than the processing time of that particular office, unlike 1st stage approval where you can't really expect anything before the time period shown.

oh I dint know that some office has that long processing time. Shocked Shocked

I understand the pain of waiting for that long and your patience is indeed appreciable.

I hope and wish everyone gets to see their loved ones very soon.

 @ shamsia

Yeah I was aware of that 24 months time line...and I have always been in favor of them... but 32 months for spousal sponsorship..goshh..

CIC needs to work on that..these people always talk about human rites.. so what is this...keeping 2 partners away for such a long time ...isn't it against human rites?

You are right! The first one year of married life is usually the best! And missing out on that Sad

I have nightmares sometimes that by the time I land in Canada, I would have the famous marriage paunch and my husband a receding hairline Tongue
