hello I'm new here and I'm still a little confused! I live in toronto (etobicoke) and applied to sponsor in January 2011, the only thing I have is the client id number, and when I go check the status of the application, returns - We Were not Able to identify you using the information you provided. there is anyone who applied at the same time and is able to check the application status?

Have you gotten approval for the sponsor? What visa office are you going through? Did you try the receipt number from your fee payment?

Hi Kaycee, how are you? Thank you for your answer! my Consultant don't gave me much information!! but i think they still not have my process yet! They are working on october 2010, and i'm not sure about the visa office, a live in Toronto and i thought every process goes to the same place!! And about receipt number, i had tried already, and returns Nothing!!!

Did you send your application to Vegreville or Mississauga? If it was Vegreville, then it is normal to not have heard anything yet.

Hi Kaycee we sent my process to Vegreville, i was thinking Mississauga, but i spoke with my consultant and he said Vengreville! Thank you!

So....it's been a LONG time since I posted anything on here but life has certainly been busy.

We were super lucky with a quick processing time out of London England and after only 103 days got the approval.  We got married in August this year in the UK so my 'husband' (still get a kick out of saying that) officially landed on 16 August, 2011 when we flew back.

I know there are some horror stories out there and maybe we just got really lucky but we didn't have one problem throughout the entire process....customs people were nice when we came to Vancouver with him on a visitors permit, never gave us any grief, never had a request for more info.  I know I might be one of the few but I gotta say, extremely pleased with how it all worked out!

Good luck to all who are still waiting.  Only piece of advice I can give for those who are putting together applications - give everything you can, wills, phone bills, facebook print outs showing you're in a relationship, Affidavits from friends and family....
