Congratulations people of January apps , I remember the days of waiting and waiting for the DM on sponsorship (and it was onlay about 2 or 3 weeks ago..lolz, I'm a December app). Now comes the long wait, but just think technically because it's only done in two steps (in theory) you are 50% done. May everyone get their decisions fast fast from respective VOs.

Hey guys, hope everybody's well and not chomping at the bit too much!  It's a lot easier to relax about it when you're on holiday, I must admit.  Just wish it would stop raining....

Lots of mention about ecas and I'm sorry I'm not fully getting the drift yet so bear with me.....we haven't had anything in the post or email to advise us of any decision - but when we get that, will that contain the log-in details to ecas?  I'm kinda hoping to check the status and see if it's moved beyond "received"which I'm hoping it has!!

Simple...straightforward responses appreciated as I'm in holiday-mode and brain is only on half way (if that).

I've been trying to log in each day with my receipt number, but so far it doesn't come up with anything. I'm not sure at what point they enter us into the system!

Me Too!

I heard that the sponsor (me) get's updated before the applicant. So i have been trying with my details and the receipt number for the internet payment.

Still no luck. Are you guys using the applicant's info or the sponsor's info?

I signed up for e-CAS tracker which seems like a great tool - once i can actually use e-cas!

I've been using my details so far. I guess it probably won't get entered until they actually open the package!! Ours are probably still sitting in some pile somewhere  .

I got an email this morning from the e-cas tracker saying it can now login to e-cas. I've since tried to login but can't for some reason. Hopefully though this is a step in the right direction and thought I would share it with the group so you know something is happening with us January applicants.

That's GREAT!!! You're the first of us from the month, so things are starting to happen!

To my knowledge (which I must admit is not terribly extensive), as soon as you have a client ID#, or file number , or receipt number ,you can log in. When you're at the actual "fill in the details" page to log in, there's a drop-down to choose which kind of log in info you're using. (You've probably seen this.)  I think the only reason I got a client ID# so soon is I kept calling them and bugging them.

But like a couple others I've read here, mine didn't change until they made a decision on my sponsorship.  Which leads me to believe that , like AlieW mentioned, the sponsor gets updated before the applicant. My wife's status still hasn't moved.

I see I'm not the only one who is obsessively checking that page lolll - I checked it 3 times today already and it was still on Dec 22. It seems to update on Wednesdays

haha i have been refreshing the page all day! it updated at 10pm (UK time) which would be 5pm in Mississagua which  means they must update it right at the end of their working day lol

I added in the date people are receiving their ecas emails, it means they`re starting to look at it! At least I hope that`s what it means lolll. Vish, you should be next
