Alie, congrats to you too! Looks like lots of good news coming out of the London office lately!!!
I was the same when I got mine....had the "!" on the subject line from my immigration lawyer and my heart just dropped because I thought maybe there was a problem or my fellah would have to go in for an interview or something.
When I opened it up and it said "good news" I just started to well up. Both my parents were asking what was wrong and it was a good few minutes before I could tell them the good news. I'm even getting all teary just thinking about it.
Such a fantastic time! Lots of celebrations!!!

ecas tracker just advised me that ecas updated "Decision Made : A decision has been made on xxx's application. The
office will contact xxx concerning this decision."
SO ecas tracker is working real time and ecas is uptodate (albeit three days after I got my email!)
Thanks for the congratulations.
I feel very deeply for all those still waiting (at least we were an early January applicant) as I sat, like many of you, watching others getting approved and wondering when it would be our turn! So hang on in there, it will come! Good luck!
PS I now formally announce I will never ever ever look at ecas again! lol

We also sent an application in January and want to share our experience so far (and ongoing).

Sponsor Application Approved: 4 February, 2011
Application received in London: 9 February, 2011
Email request for additional documents received from VO: 28 February, 2011 (my wife is British but Latvian by birth, they requested her Latvian birth certificate)
Additional Documents received by London VO: 15 March, 2011
That's it so far, no movement for two months now. It looked like things were going pretty well but we're stalled now. Will update when that changes.

Thats fantastic! We picked ours up on Monday (and they gave us back all the photos/cards/letters)! I was really impressed. You must be so excited for your landing. We're just starting to think about packing up here and hoping to land around August! I'm daunted by the amount of stuff to do and we aren't even shipping anything! |
