hi Kaycee,
Please add: Passport request received today. Dated March 3, 2011. It took so long to receive since letter was sent from  Manila all the way to Edmonton Canada(22days-snail mail).

I can also access my eCAS now with the UCI from the letter but details are still the same with that of my sponsor's eCAS.

Im sending my passport  in the fastest way possible so they will receive it this Monday. yayyy!

I think there is a lull now.
After a flurry of activity with the VOs receiving applications, AORs being issues and the PPR from Manila and New Delhi it seems we are now back to waiting.

How strange is this ...As you can see from my time line below, ECAS sent me confirmation that they had received my application on January 18, they had approved my sponsorship on Feb 11, I receiving an email showing the approval, even receiving a phone call from Canada Immigration confirming that fact, and my husbands application arriving in London on Feb 17 ...to my surprise this morning, i received an ECAS update showing "we started processing your application February 9, 2011" ...i feel like im going backwards ...this update was affixed to the sponsorship side of the application ...This whole process sure has a way of driving you batty at times ...I was so excited to see an Email from ECAS only to be let down to see exactly what it was

Seems they are off by a day ...and for some odd reason i wasnt very amused either lol ...well i suppose we could look on the bright side ...it could have said worse ...Happy early April Fools on us

My April Fools Day false raising of my hopes was an ecas tracker email this morning saying my ecas had changed to "We sent you a letter on January 26, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us"

Well that was an update to ecas that has long been superceded by my file TF to London note.  A gremlin in ecas tracker?

Wow, it looks like Buffalo is really far behind the other visa offices   I got all excited/confused seeing people who had already gotten their PPR...

Hey Shandymoo and Shykitten,

Looks like your application was received in London on the same day as me but I haven't received any change other than that my application has been received.  I'm not sure whether to hear something not so new or to hear nothing is better.  Let's hope that April is a more productive month for all of us!

After my passport request, they asked for some additional documents.
Hopefully, we'll here some good news by the end of April

One thing to remember is that different VO's request the passport at different times.

It appears that Buffalo only requests it when they're ready to stamp it.  New Delhi, on the other hand, asks for it very early in the process.

You can only really compare timelines for each step within that specific VO.
