Hello everyone,
 I have followed this group since I sent our application off to the immigration office in Mississauga,logging in like 3 times a day to follow everyones progress. Guyz, believe me when I say I could not sleep the night I sent it off.
I did not want to comment or anything, cos I tot I would go crazy as soon as evryone except us starts getting PPRs. Being that it officially takes 21 months for Accra VO to approve applications, i tot it best to just observe and brood in silence.
But Alas! to our suprise, my husband got an email today inviting him for an interview on April 4 2011. They also asked him to bring his passport as well as supporting documents. I am freaking out now cos I don't know what they mean by supporting documents, does anyone here know. We pretty much put every document except his university certificate and the original of our marriage certificate. I feel like screaming for joy now, but am at work.
Here is our data;
Application recieved by Mis. office on Jan 26
Decision made/ sponsorship approved on Feb.23
Ecas active for me (sponsor) on Feb.28
Application sent to Accra Feb.23
Application recved in Accra on March 2
letter for interview emailed on March 24
Interview date  April 4.
That we are sooooo nervous is an understatemet, we have less than 2 weeks. And to think we have been waiting for this day for so long.

Ok I was a little bored!

I took a sample of 34 people who started their application in early 2010 and are now finished.
This only applies to the New Delhi office.

11.7% of the people had to go for an interview.
29.4% of the people had to submit additional documents or go for an interview.

76.4% of the people had a passport request in 29 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
The rest were much longer like 40-80 days.

58.8% of the applications were done in 69 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
This group also included 30% of the people who had to submit additional documents or go to an interview.

41.2% of the applications were done in 132 days from the date of sponsorship approval in Mississauga.
This group also included 70% of the people who had to submit additional documents or go to an interview.

I was approved on Feb 22, 2011.

Passport Request should be on March 23, 2011.                Actual: March 10, 2011
Visa with no complications should be on May 2, 2011.
Visa with complications should be on July 4, 2011.

I also got a typical right skew distribution that also agreed with some data on CIC website before they changed it.
Again this is from the date that your sponsor is approved in Missauga.

Cool stats!! Unfortunately there hardly seems to be anyone going through Paris, so I have no idea what to expect!

Wow - this was quite something! Unfortunately - like Kaycee1 - it doesn't appear as though anyone is going through Tel Aviv - in fact i think i've found one person - who submitted their application in 2009 on the forum... so i'm hopping we will be similar to the other smaller VOs like Paris, Berlin, Rome....

And - i must say I loved this line - I had a flash back to my university days of statistics and econometrics!!

Dear All,

sorry I have been away for that long. I have good news. my application was approved feb. 25th, accra received in march 8th and sent me an email for interview yesterday for April 4th and can you believe it that day is my BIRTHDAY!!!!!!.I am so soooooooo happy. Accra is very fast now. ....I pray that everyone still waiting we get good news soon.

 @ Ify we both have our interview same day....Were you asked to bring some document???

I am really happy for you Palomadiegio.Thank God for the people in Accra, working and clearing their tables really fast. Totally unexpected for sure. I am the sponsor, we have a daughter and the both of us are Nigerians.
They requested for supporting docs and passport from my hubby,but I know God has done it already for us. You both might actually see each other but will not know.
I pray your interview goes well too.
