I think it depends on the immigration officer whether you get it by email or snail mail ...the only option that i was given was on the sponsorship evaluation question 7b saying if i supplied my email address it was giving them permission to communicate with me via email ...according to E-CAS i still have a hard copy of the email they sent me coming via snail mail which i should be receiving this week ...i must admit, getting an email eased my stress by ten fold ...and i think im going to frame the email  Keep your chins up, positive thinking and have faith ...otherwise insanity will take over ...but, that never goes away until the whole process is done ...good luck to everyone, my thoughts are with you ... |

My decision was made on Wednesday Feb 9th.
So as i had estimated up until i was approved:
Friday 4th feb - apps received 10th and 11th jan.
Monday 7th - apps received 12th and 13th jan
Tuesday 8th - apps received 14th and 17th jan (15th and 16th were weekends so no mail)
Wednesday 9th - jan 18th (me)
Thursday - jan 19th
Friday - friday jan 20th
Monday - jan 21st
tuesday - jan 24th
Tomorrows weekly processing times update will most likely say working on applications received january 20th maybe 21st. I think it indicates what they started on from the beginning of the week.
If you haven't heard anything yet they are either
A) Really behind, (they may have received alot of apps on a perticular day that has taken them a few days to go through.)
B)Your sponsorship was not approved and your package will be sent back (which they may have not got round to doing yet)
Or
C)you have incomplete documents (such as missing signatures etc) or incomplete documentary evidence ( such as option c etc) and they will notify you soon (not sure if they would return the whole package?)
Its more than likely reason A so don't panic until tomorrows processing update!

I did include proof of current income, however, and attested to the fact that I have not had any of the problems they request declaration for when you file your taxes (bankruptcy, foreign property ownership, social assistance, other CIC obligations). |
