I have been informed from my PM that it might take up to 15 months to finalize the application, it's been 13 months so far....

Hello people. theres nothing this tuesday either. I would recommend that everyone that has been waiting for a long time to email damascus offlice for the latest update on there application status. My last update that they sended me for my application status was that mine is in queue for a review.

I have been checking my status 3 or 4 times everyday and still nothing new!! What if I email them and they get really annoyed and take longer then it is already taking?? Any advise on what to do???

good day.... so i got great news....
Yesterday I received an email from Damascus asking me to send my passport!!!!!!!!! i am so excited... and i cant believe that even with the hick up they did finish the application under the 6 months that they promised they would do it.. my 6 months were up on April, 6th so they concluded it 2 weeks in advance, even with the problem that the doctor caused by delaying my medical report they still finished it on time....
thank you Damascus embassy for working so efficiently even if you do not update our statuses. In ECAS it still says that they have received my application on Oct. 6th, 2009....
Good luck with everyone and hopefully this it will be all of the Oct week people waiting the last..

congratulations gkarayiannis!! Where are you from?? I am sponsoring my husband while living with him in Lebanon. Do you think it will take longer for my application to be approved because of this or does it matter?? My application was also being processed in Damascus on October 7th so I am surprised I have not heard anything yet!!

I am from Cyprus. I dont think it matters from where the person is in the area as long as is a straight forward application things move fast enough...
