I know I'm a little ancy... but hey, I've been waiting a very, very long time to be able to post on a "month" thread. I will be mailing my package out tomorrow and CIC will recieve it beginning of August! I am absolutely THRILLED to be getting rid of this thing!!!  Best of luck to all of us. |

Woo hoo! I'm pretty excited myself. I pushed really hard to get everything ready in July but just didn't happen.
My husband's paperwork didn't show up today... keeping my fingers crossed that it will show up tomorrow.

I tried really hard for January and then my fingerprints were rejected by the FBI twice leading to... August. Crazy. I am just waiting on my husband to send me his Letter of Employment and off it goes! What paperwork are you waiting for, Kess?

I'm waiting for all the forms and documents my husband (the applicant) signed, including his original copy of the FBI cert, and form from the medical exam. I asked him to courier them up overnight with tracking etc.... but that didn't happen. Now I'm going to be on edge until they arrive. Nothing like putting your entire life in an envelope. |

Great bonbon I hope it works out for you!! Which office are you applying from? I mailed it out after work today at 5pm... it's leaving tonight FedEx and will arrive Tuesday. $87 it cost me!! I'm not sure what to do without it now, I've had it sitting around since January, been compiling it since July 2009, haha.

I will hopefully (fingers crossed) be sending mine out in August. I have my Medical scheduled for August 12th and am waiting for my FBI clearance. Right now I am in the process of making copies of all my supporting documents. So if all goes well, mine will go out at the end of August. If I don't have my FBI clearance by then, I am still going to mail the package out and then send the FBI clearance when I get it.
I am currently on a visitor visa which expires August 31. I plan on going back to the states for a few weeks and then when I come back, hopefully they will allow me to stay for 6 months. I will have the proof of sending in the application and fees paid so hopefully there won't be a problem coming back in to Canada.

the tracking page from canada post said cic receievd itjuly 26th, how long does it take them to get around to opening it? and how do you know when they open it? do they update the ecas right away or sendyou a letter??

CIC recieved my application today at about 10:30AM! Here we go Love_Young - I am excited to see what happens for the both of us! Thanks and you'd better believe it!! Kelsey - Opening it? Not sure. But if all goes well and the sponsorship portion is approved, it's taking about 43 days according to the CIC website. I believe they send you a letter or e-mail. Bonbon - You are lucky! But it's still difficult, of course. Keep us posted! |
