just got my AOR today... and they are requesting my passport... yipey....
So within a month you'll have your passport back with the visa if you submitt it in a couple days. WOW that amazing, hopefully london in the same boat....congrads |

yay, hubby in Canada received my AOR and the initial assessment today posted Nov. 11th. My interview has been waived. I suppose it all means nothing YET, but it sure feels good to get something. =)

@ peacekeeper You can check out the current processing times for CPC-Miss here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#sponsorship Looks like it's around a month for Spouse, Common Law, etc. So if you are in that category you might see an update on E-cas the first Tuesday after 30 days from the date they got your application...possibly. |

AOR is sent to the sponsored spouse by the local visa office - that is Acknowledgement Of Receipt of your application and shows that they have started working on your case. it contains a file number for the sponsored person that you can use to log in to ecas and check your status.

some visa offices do not send AOR letters. if your application status was changed to In Process you may receive a letter from them in a week or two, or not to receive it at all. this way you may not know your spouse's file number, but you can still checking it with your client number for the updates.
