Nobody has started this thread yet, so I am writing the first post. Just got back from the post office after dropping off our application package. It's a mixed feeling of relief that we don't have to worry about putting the package together anymore, and nervousness wondering if we did everything correctly.

Anyone else sending their applications off this month?

Yes, my Canadian husband, Mike, and I took ours to FedEX yesterday, and I almost burst into tears after we dropped it off.  I have loved this forum because it has helped answer so many questions.  But, also, at the same time I have heard/read so many horror stories I am anxious that I made any mistake that may cause us problems or delays.  I have been "visiting" for two months, and I am ready to get back to work and find a job, but I won't feel comfortable even looking until I get a sense of when the application might approved.  I am praying that no one in the June thread is a horror story!

Good luck everyone!

Just an update, and to keep this thread from being buried, our package was 'successfully delivered' this morning according to Canada Post. Let's hope everything progresses smoothly from here...

Just remember for every person who has a major issue with immigration there are 10 who don't. You don't hear many people's stories who go through the process quick and smooth because there is nothing to say; It was quick and smooth. Tongue I pray for you and hope you will be fine. I will be adding my name to this June list as soon as next week.

We mailed out our PR Application yesterday!  This forum has helped us so much in preparation.

My husband is from Kentucky and I am a Canadian citizen living in Toronto.  We are applying outland through the Buffalo office.  Our only concern is that we got married so quickly but we have been married for two years and have sent plenty of evidence of our relationship (photos, skype, postcards, family testimonials) so I hope it counts for something!

Good luck to everyone Smiley

My wife just mailed 'her' part of the application to me today. So I should receive it by the end of this week. I have my part pretty much ready as well. Hoping to mail out the application package to mississauga within a week.

I have a quick clarification: My wife did apply for a canadian student visa almost 2 yrs backs but it got refused as they thought she had many relatives here and would not return (She has 2 aunts and an elder brother living here in canada). WE got married 2 months back. So now while filing the sponsorship docs, I did mention that she applied for a student visa and the file info.
Do I need to provide any further details as I am hoping that this spousal sponsorship won't be affected by that past refusal as that was the only time she applied for a canadian visa. Please advise!

Count me in for June 2010 applicants!  We are sending the package tomorrow!!

Unfortunately I didn't get the FBI certificate on time (came back rejected last week) but hopefully in 5 weeks or so I will have it.  Got 3 more prints in process so maybe one of them will turn out.  Shocked

Hy Everyone
Just post a sponsorship application for my spouse  @  CPC-Mississauga recieved 20th June.

As I hered by someone that they might be ask for for RCMP, since you had lived in Canada and they can also request for the Pakistani Police Clearance Certificate, even though you had submitted these when you had initially started the Immigration process back then. I would suggest to start applying for both and have it ready, in case it is being asked for. I am sending you information on how to obtain the RCMP Clearance Certificate.
As my Spouse living in KSA made Police Clearance from there and submitted  with the application, So what is the RCMP & also need Pakistani Police clearance HuhHuhHuh??

If your spouse has lived in Canada before then you will need the RCMP clearance certificate as well as the Pakistani one. The reason behind it is Immigration Canada wants to make sure there haven't been any record from the time you first submitted it until now.
