I am new to this forum. My file has reached delhi on 25 May 2011. Can anyone please tell how long it takes to get the first reply from delhi. Have applied under family stream.

Any last minute advise / suggestions ?

Bring all proof you have, old cards, phone bills, lots of picture, screen shots of video chats etc. I had a 10 slot folder with us that had all that, all our original ceryificates, receipts etc. They laughed when they saw it. Be confident!!! They dont do anything to trick you, they only ask you things that are on your application. I thought it would be a horrible experience and it was the fastest 10 minutes of my life. Try to see if you can pick your visa that day or come and pick it up. We couldnt but I have heard ppl whi can. Again dont be nervous, have confidence... dont offer anymore info then they ask for. Be short and to the point. |

Thanks Buddy!! I am so relieved now. It would have been fantastic to see your approval, but New Delhi is just...... You will get it man. it's just that the news will come some other day. I hope it's before Canada Day.. Oh Man I was very mad at NEW DELHI this morning.. or the post I posted before this one.. and NOW I"M VERY HAPPPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally your wait has come to an end... it has been a journey of trouble, sorrow, separateness.. and what else? you name it.. but I'm very happy for you Congrats again and again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!1 (we both have the same dates of File Received by ND!) only if they followed the FCFS policy.. 2 more members would have posted the good news... my self and anilofvancouver... I know the days aren't far away......................... Now book the tickets and get her over here.. and don't forget to take her to Canadan's Wonderland on July 1st for Canada Day fireworks... I wanted to do that for my wife, but not sure if its gonna happen or not... but I can have my friend do it on my be-half... cuz I know there will be a another day for me and my wife as always... be always here DNT2003 |

Yeah I'll ask her and see if she can suggest something, send me some positive energy.. its REALLY getting harder to deal with the wife now.. I can't tell her about PPR is on the way how I used to say it to her.. NOW she has given up the hopes she said June 13th was the last day she was hoping for something good, BUT I'm still hopeful..
I've promised her to be in India between June 22 to June 29.. better to wait together in this battle!

Oh DNT 2003 don't give up hope... I know its hard.. but stay strong.. and this will also motivate your wife. The separateness is the hardest part. If you are planning on going to India this will be something you both can look forward to... something to change the ppr wait. During the wait I was always thankful there was a tomorrow... at least that tomorrow would bring good news. Keep thinking tomorrow is the day ( I know you both have been doing this for awhile now) and trust me when that tomorrow comes its such a joy |

Thanks man, I guess 2 months is the MAX people wait for ND, cuz we are in the same boat as you are.. it has been just over 2 months since ND holding our file, and TODAY is the day my wife gave up hope.... I've told her it will happen very soon.. its just around the corner.. they are reading our email.. and typing the ltter for us.. you name it I've told her.. and she now breaks in a lot of tears because she can't handle the separation, I feel like ND is really opressing us. and I've heard the one who is opressed.. there is no veil between the opressed and God, and I believe that.. I will pray to God and ask him to tke us out of this opression by ND! You're not missing anything... if I don't hear anything back from ND by 22nd of June.. I will book tickets and just stay in India until we've been approved! I'd hate to take this route as I want to keep my job, but for me FAMILY is first.. I work so I can take care of my family (wife.. and kids in future).. but for the one I want to do all the work is not here and is crying to be with me.. and I'm not there.. really hurts me.. hence the reasong I will fly on a day between June 22 and 29th.. DNT2003 I know how it feels man..me and my wife gave up hope after 2 months in ND...just pacify her it will happen very soon.
I am positive you will get a reply email asking you to send the PP ( they never accept their mistake )
Give it 2 more weeks my friend..and dude are you flying to India June 22? am i missing something.

hey guys
i had study visa refusal as well as visitor visa refusal before marriage to Canada. Reason for refusal was that i will not return back.
My question is that can they conduct interview because of previous visa refusal or they conduct interview to check if marriage is genuine or not?
Can the interview be conducted due to back ground check or medicals or pcc?
I have observed that they conduct interview mostly for genuine marriage check.
Please comment on what you guys say?
