I am new to this forum. My file has reached delhi on 25 May 2011. Can anyone please tell how long it takes to get the first reply from delhi. Have applied under family stream.

Welcome! usually takes abt 2-3 weeks for the PPR. This is usually their first contact! Go through the time lines of the members on this forum...I'll get a better idea of what the avg time is! Good luck with ur process!!!

Things got just better this year and I received the nomination letter. Have applied to delhi but havent received any response yet. Do we get the AOR and medical request at the same time or we first get the file number and then have to wait for medicals.

Now a question comes to my mind... possible to apply fir VISA directly in Ottawa for us Torontonians?

I will be going to pick up my OCI stamped passport once its ready in 2-5 days then I will ask the lady see if she has an answer to this.

Hi Welcome to this thread. Looks like you fall under family class. Most if not all members here deal with the spousal sponsorship class which is priority.
The timelines we post here are only for spouse application for PR.
Parents/grandparents takes much longer and i have seen other threads for it but usually it is not active as the whole process can take 3-5 years.
I wish you all the  best for a Visa soon.

Sorry...I think I misunderstood! You are not being sponsored by ur spouse, correct?

The process is diff, and most of the members here are for spousal application.

Perhaps there is someone else who can hep helpme?

That's what I'm hoping for, but the last CSE I sent on few weeks ago, didn't trigger anything.. so I hope this CSE / EMAIL will trigger something

Once they see your husband it will be all good and you'll be approved in no time

arrgghh...I know....I was going through some Q's I found on a website yesterday with my husband....!!! There were some like...what's ur's wife's granfather's name...where did ur wife stay when she came to Canada...were the lights on, on ur wedding night!!!  Crazy yo!!! we were having a good laugh...but yeah...We are practising all what we've put down on the app...and also collecting more eveidence(!!!!!)   
Hope they do something after ur CSE...My husband never got a reply for the CSE we sent...instead he just got the interview call through email. So, hopefully your CSE will trigger something!!!

Yeah I'll ask her and see if she can suggest something, send me some positive energy.. its REALLY getting harder to deal with the wife now.. I can't tell her about PPR is on the way how I used to say it to her.. NOW she has given up the hopes she said June 13th was the last day she was hoping for something good, BUT I'm still hopeful..

I've promised her to be in India between June 22 to June 29.. better to wait together in this battle!

I know how it feels man..me and my wife gave up hope after 2 months in ND...just pacify her it will happen very soon.
I am positive you will get a reply email asking you to send the PP ( they never accept their mistake )
Give it 2 more weeks my friend..and dude are you flying to India June 22? am i missing something.
