Hope you read this man, can u tell us abt the validity of ur new Ind PP...we were discussing abt this last week abt the new 1 year validity passport and all BS.
Did they give you a 10 yr valid PP..do let me know

i was confirming the interview question because i have seen some cases go which if there is an interview scheduled the site will say in process and it will say something about interview has been scheduled on this date. What do you have to say about it?

Yes i believe ECAS is updated with the interview date..i do nylalisa's ecas had this update
Big Ben, Brin, Grimi - Whats your take.
I think they do it for all applicants who are being interviewed and they do send out a detatiled letter asking you what to bring.

may i know the date when the status changed to in process. did it change to in process after the pp was received by CHC ND or earlier.
you told us that it took around one month for  In process to complete to Decision made.....  thx in advance

The status was changed to In Process before the pp was received. So from the time it said In Process to Decision Made ( the entire length of time) was one month.

Sam,
Yes interview is a possibility for any applicant.
They will never say interview waived ( which is what they did last year when they sent the PPR, so you know there is no interview )
Juat hang in tight, all will be fine.
And yes they can call u to screen u, email u or send a letter to say there is an interview.
Relax and be positive, all will be fine.

I renewed my PP in last Feb-March in Ottawa and They gave me 10 yrs validity but it took almost 6 weeks to get it back. I hope this helps.

[b]Update for Sponsors buying eticket online with his/her CC for applicant to travel.

Most airlines require this from you, this is just a FYI to avoid a big headache in the IND airport.
This is a must for JET Airways, so please check

Security Requirement
. The card used to purchase the tickets will have to be produced at the time of Check-in.
. If the holder of the card is not the passenger, then the passenger should posses:
a. A photocopy of both sides of the card, which will have to be self attested by the card holder authorising the use
of the card for the purchase of the ticket. For security reasons, please strike out the Card Verification Value (CVV) code on
the copy of your card.
b. This photocopy should also contain the name of the passenger, the date of journey and the sector on which the journey is made.
The above document MUST be produced at the time of check-in. If the passenger fails to comply with these conditions, Jet Airways
reserves the right to deny the passenger(s) from boarding.
The details mentioned above do not apply for Net Banking/ Cash Card.

Looks like ppl who apply in Ottawa get the 10 yr validity and ppl who apply in Toronto get the 1 year PP...sucks for us

it means some get in process update before ppr and some get in process update after the passport has been received by chc delhi. Mine changed to in process after passport reached Delhi
